5月16日 Show PreviewIf there's one thing I love about the BGT boffins at ITV, it's their previews. They always choose acts that go one of two ways - fabulous or ruddy awful!
This time around I'll let you draw your own conclusions, but let's just say you don't get more 'unique' than Mike and Shaun. These guys really want to make it and they compare themselves to Westlife no less. Why not take a look and see what you think...
Click here to visit ITV and take a look. (WARNING: Earplugs may be required!) As a bonus I also thought I'd add a link to my favourite act from last week's show. Phil Blackmore impressed me by juggling knives, standing on a see-saw of two crates and balancing a battleaxe on his chin! Personally, I can't wait to see what he comes up with next! If you're not on the edge of your seat when you watch this, there's something wrong with you!
See you tomorrow night for the LIVE blog. I'll be here when the show airs to give my opinion and I look forward to hearing what you think!

5月12日 Room For Improvement?Do you think this week's acts can improve by the next round? After some of the judges comments on Saturday, I started thinking and it seems to me that some of the acts have their work cut out for them.
Animagique virtually begged and pleaded with Simon to go through and Cowell was only willing to go along with it, if they made the act bigger and better. They said the biggest animal they had was a German Shepherd - It's not really Siegfried and Roy is it? What can they do to knock the judges socks off and be truly spectacular? I just hope they can come up with something as they seemed so nice.
Then we have Hoop-La-La... I loved them, but Simon asked where they see the act going as the rounds go on. I have high hopes for them on that front as they already have other routines prepared. They also know their strength - pure campness! You get far too many acts on these shows that take themselves too seriously, these guys just aren't like that. I'm not sure if they'll rely on the campness or the hoop skills next time, but they seem to have something great planned!
Craig explains, "We can't reveal what we'll do next time around (if we make it) but we cut this act down from six and a half minutes. We've loads of routines to choose from too! What we do is a mixture of fitness and camp fun, so we'll make up some new routines - and maybe some spangly new costumes too!" Sounds fab guys!
Hey, at least these two acts can't kill themseves in their search for fame. The frightening thing is that the same can't be said for Phil our balancing juggler. A bloodthirsty Simon Cowell loved the idea that he was risking his life, but what will he come up with for the next round? The battleaxe trick had me on the edge of my seat... If he makes it even more dangerous, I don't think I'll be able to watch. I dread to think what he's going to do! What do you think? Could these guys make the final? Is there room for improvement... ...and what could the do?

5月10日 Live Blog...LIVE BLOG RUNNING NOW...
So who will the judges love to hate tonight?
For the first time, Britain's Got Talent is visiting Scotland this year. The judges travel to Glasgow and they're looking forward to seeing what the city has to offer.
First up is Family Affair, an all singing harmony act. There's mum, dad and their two children and what can I say? The judges are totally unforgiving. The audience are shouting 'off' and after three buzzes, they're out of there! Who really sings Ba, Ba, Baran anymore? Mum wasn't impressed though and asked Ant and Dec where they went wrong, "Why didn't they like close harmonies? They were vicious!" Simon tells it like it is, "they were a Scottish act booed by a Scottish crowd!"
I liked Animagique - Bless em!
You could tell they really wanted it and it meant everything to them. I agree with Simon that the magic act needs to be bigger. He wasn't David Copperfield, but both he and his wife tried their best. Toward the end it was like they were just taking animals out of boxes, but he promised Simon that the act will be bigger and better next time. Sadly Piers and Amanda say no... I can't believe it, but Simon says yes and talks Amanda into changing her mind! The defining moment is dragged out, but I'm glad the couple make it through as they seem genuinely thankful. Simon demonstrating compassion - Whatever next? OFF TO LONDON>>>
I LOVE HOO LA LA! Craig, Jessie and Tina are a hula-hoop act with a twist. They are SOOO camp and fabulous! At first the three of them seem so serious, but as soon as the music starts and Craig begins to wiggle, it's fantastic. Not only are they amazing hula-hoopers, but the dance element makes the whole turn so much fun! They make it through but Simon isn't sure it's something that Prince Charles would want to see. Piers disagrees and so do I! "I think Prince Charles would love it. We have this boring stuff on the Royal Variety when we could have you". I think these guys could go a long way. A real happy act and the crowd adored them!
Natasha Bennett is an operatic star, a real talented beauty. Her voice is angelic, but I think Paul Potts has squeezed the whole 'opera thing' dry for this year. I don't think the opera singers have a hope this time around - Wait till next year and come back guys!
Caberlesque look like a saucy bunch. A blend of caberet and burlesque, they perform a pussycat dolls style dance act. Ant and Dec love them and I have to laugh when Simon puts them through when they agree to Amanda's demands... "If you come back will you wear smaller knickers for the can-can?" Easy Tiger! Amanda's such a little minx isn't she!
BIRMINGHAM>>>
WOW! Austin was a big hit, did you expect that delicate sound to come from a saw? I know that I didn't and I think Simon was unfair to buzz so early. He played You Raise Me Up and in all honesty I was gobsmacked. I couldn't have said it better than Piers, "when you came out I thought you looked dull and average and then you pull your saw out and you're some sort of musical genius aren't you!" Simon you big sourpuss, lighten up!
I just caught a glimpse of the human beatbox and the couple in cumberbunds with the hounds. It just goes to show that Simon's a big softy and Piers isn't really 'withit'. Simon couldn't say no to a dog that acted broken hearted and Piers said that Prince Charles would 'dig' the beatbox dude. Talk about cheese with extra cheese Piers, attempting the 'hip' lingo just doesn't suit you... NEXT!
Stuart Goldsmith the strongman? Mmmm...
I thought he wasn't going to manage that atlas stone at first, thank God he got there in the end. Simon couldn't wait to buzz, did you see him eyeing up his button? The best part was when Ant and Dec came on stage and sat on the swing to be lifted. I think Stuart's personality did more for the judges than his weightlifting. Bubbly and friendly, but the act wasn't for me. What do you think? Poor David Williams... He came to dance, but didn't stand a chance. At 21 he's straight out of performing arts school and I think he's a victim of his peers telling him he's good. The judges disagree and buzz him in seconds. The audience are shouting 'off, off, off' and Amanda cringes at his holiday camp moves. Simon says that it was rubbish and David just can't take it. He shouts f****ff numerous times as he runs from the stage and leaves without speaking to Ant and Dec. I don't think anyone should be made to feel like they have to run off. Poor David... As long as you love it, you should keep doing it!
I think I spoke too soon about the opera singers! Farrell is only 12 years old, but she sings like she's been on stage for 30 years. Her voice is unbelievable and as she opens her mouth to sing Ave Maria, the judges are in awe. There's even a few seconds silence as she finishes... that's before the crowd erupt into a standing ovation. It's like they're all in shock! Simon uses words like special, amazing and incredible and tells the youngster that it's the best audition he's seen. Me thinks we will see a whole lot more of this little one, don't you?
It's so touching when she runs into her fathers arms and he walks with her onstage to give the audience a thumbs up. Can we have more of the same next week please?

5月7日 Emails Answered:EMAIL:
Hi, I am from Venezuela and cannot watch the show live but I have a question. I saw a child, Charlie Green singing Summer Wind but haven't heard of him anymore. Was he in a previous year of BGT? Is he now in the competition? I am confused.
Thanks a lot! Veronica
ANSWER:
Thanks for your question Veronica. Charlie Green was fantastic wasn't he? He is still in the show and after the rest of the auditions, he will return for the second round. I'll post a video here of the second round acts, so one way or another you'll catch him...
Thanks again,

5月5日 Highlights...Here are my top talents from Saturday's auditions...
What do you think? Do you agree with me or did another act float your boat? I loved super-charismatic Jeremy Lynch. He was confident, skillful and really connected with the audience, a true showman.
Whoops, you missed the vid!! Dean Wilson was just fantastic. His piece from Miss Saigon blew the audience away and I think he's heading for the final. Whoops, you missed the vid!! Krista & Charlie (The Cheeky Monkeys) are adorable with a capital A. I was tired just watching them and daren't peep at this video or I'll be exhausted! Whoops, you missed the vid!! More soon... Selena Ledgerton Cooper
5月3日 Live Blog - Show 4Tonight the auditions are in London.
Will a bit of east end charm work wonders? First up is Eidelweiss Warby (52) and she's going to doggy sing to Phantom of the Opera. Amanda is in fits of giggles and before she can 'woof' the first line, the audience are chanting "OFF, OFF, OFF!" I have to ask, is barking like a dog a talent and would you do it on national television?
Next, Julie Baston tries to woo the judges with her rendition of Madonna's Holiday - but why is she wearing a hula outfit?
Three buzzes come one after the other and Simon is not impressed, "It was like a drunk woman at a hen night". I have to agree! Third time's anything but a charm as the Dynamic Duo take to the stage. They perform a dry comedy skit that's based on the three judges but when they insult Piers, he buzzes. The other judges quickly follow and Piers snaps, "You're just two little twerps aren't you!" - I didn't get it I'm afraid, bye guys!
Finally a bit of talent! Jeremy Lynch is a football freestyler and he rocks! Having previously been signed for a pro team (who dropped him - fools), he coaches kids and also performs football skills... or perhaps I should call them amazing football feats, there's nothing he can't do with a soccer ball. He performs a dance and skills routine to Beyonce's Crazy in Love and the crowd go wild! Piers and Simon think he's the best act from London so far and Amanda agrees... "It's you, not just your ball skills" - Easy Tiger!
Piers can't help but laugh when Simon says Jeremy's cocky. "Yeah, a bit like someone else we know!" Regardless of his Simonesque qualities, he sails through to the next round - Goal! MANCHESTER>>>
Krista and Charlie are the Cheeky Monkeys. These eight year old dancers are adorable and they've only been working together for a year. The audience lap it up and if I'm honest, just watching them makes me tired - they're so fast! How many steps can a normal person fit into one verse? If you ask me, these kids have had access to far too much sugar! Simon thinks they're great, but there's a problem... "I think you're better than your routine. You should sack your choreographer". Their instructor is mortified and cringes in the wings. The kids look petrified, but there's no need for them to worry... Simon smiles sneakily and puts them through to the next round. I wonder if he get a kick out of winding up small children?
Did you see the dance troop, High On A Hill? There was only a quick flash of them on the show but they looked great to me. One to look out for in the next round I think!
Leonard Henry Bennett is in his seventies and he's perfected his strongman act over 57 years. He does pull-ups with just two fingers and has weights tied to his waist, the guys a machine! Grumpy Simon buzzes straight away, as he's unsure where the act could go. Amanda disagrees, "I think you could show this once around the world and it would be great - Once is fine!" Luckily for Leonard, Piers agrees and he's through.
How cute are Teddy Prescot, Jack Woodward and Simone Lloyd-Davis. These OAP's are giving the young whipper-snappers a run for their money and the musician, the comic and the belly dancer make it through. BLESS YOU ALL!!
Kay and Harvey are a duo on a mission. Harvey plays keyboards and Kay compares herself to Lesley Garrett, which is a huge claim! As her chosen genre is Italian opera, she starts by explaining the song to the audience and to be honest I think they're a little insulted by that.
I hope she's as good as she claims or the audience could turn...
She starts to sing and the audience chant "OFF" before the fourth line. Simon and Amanda buzz her, but Piers listens happily until the end. "I really enjoyed that, I say yes". Simon looks at him as though he's lost his marbles, "I don't know what was worse, the singing or the horrible keyboard solo in the middle. "BOOOO!" The crowd lash out at Simon and he can't believe their gaul. He addresses the crowd, "How can you boo me after you were shouting off? Just a little two faced!" What can I say Simon? I guess the audience like Harvey!
Simon's such a spoil sport! Melissa Lucas (9) is a sweetheart and she's trying her best to play harmonica and hula-hoop at the same time. It's not my cup of tea either but I feel for her when the judges say no, she looks like she could burst into tears. You keep going with your hula-playing Melissa, take no notice to them!
Dean Wilson is up next and I can't help raising an eyebrow when he says he's performing a piece from Miss Saigon - That's a mean feat (and then some!)
Fortunately for him, he's bloody marvellous! Simon stops him mid-flow and advises that he hates the song, but with nothing else prepared he allows Dean to continue. The young guy isn't phased by the false start and he proceeds to give the performance of his life. He even leaps off stage and continues as the audience give a standing ovation! Simon says, "I don't think I've ever seen anyone with such conviction in an audition. That's probably the best we've seen yet!" As Dean literally leaps from the stage, Simon leans over and says three words... "Pure star quality!" It doesn't get better than that Deano! I guess we have to remember that the winner of Britain's Got Talent could be classical, popular, contemporary, musical, theatrical or comedic. With a performer like Dean heading for the final, maybe the BBC's theatrical talent shows need to watch out.
What do you think about this theatrical twist and which act tickled your fancy?

4月28日 Tipped For Stardom! As always, I wanted to find you footage of my favourite acts from this week's show. If I'm honest it wasn't that difficult this week as (in my humble opinion) four acts stood head and shoulders above the rest.
I love making these highlight posts because I can pop back throughout the week and have another look at my favourite acts!
Do you agree with my top four or is there another act you would like to see again?
First up is young George, well come on he had to be first.
What a star! Whoops, you missed the vid!! Next is our very own Michael Jackson tribute with a twist...
Whoops, you missed the vid!! ...then we have Par Diem - pure talent! Whoops, you missed the vid!! And finally, it's time for a quick change!
Whoops, you missed the vid!!
Oh and if you missed George's performance from last year, I have that too...

4月26日 Live Blog - Show 3Ready for a live one?
So who do you think will make the front pages this week and who's only good enough to wrap your chips in? Leave your comments...
Tonight the judges are in Blackpool and although Simon believes the golden mile is the British Las Vegas, he's in for a shock! As well as a couple of crackers, the judges are about to witness some of the worst auditions ever...
First up is Alex Lees and he has to be the most confident 8 year old I've ever seen. He tells Ant and Dec that he's "amazing" and when Amanda asks if he's nervous he says "no, I'm really confident!" Alex sings Kids by Robbie and Kylie and although he bops around the stage and gives it his all, the judges aren't sold. Simon says that he can't sing, but is the most confident boy he's ever seen. Amanda is impressed by his charm and agrees with Simon, yes to talent but no to singing! Fortunately for Alex, Simon takes a shine to him and invites him back to another city. "Why don't you come back and be a comic. Do what you do best and make us laugh". I agree, his singing voice was forced but he's a sweet kid. Go for it Alex, not everyone gets a second chance!
Ouch! No second chances for the balloon act who didn't actually make any balloon sculptures on stage... NEXT!
Next is Brenda Isaacs (74) who sings Over The Rainbow, or should I say she tries to sing it (the music boffins are playing the wrong track). Sadly for Brenda the correct music doesn't help and Simon buzzes after two bars. "I don't think your music helped sweetheart". As Brenda leaves the stage she discovers that her husband has wrote the wrong tracks in the wrong order on her CD - She storms off and I think she's looking to wallop him with the CD case... Run Brenda's husband, run!
Suleman and his dancing counterpart were fabulous! His Michael Jackson impression was spot on and I couldn't stop laughing when the guy with the broom came on and started dancing too. Did you see Ant and Dec? They didn't have a clue what was going on - It was hilarious! I am interested to see what else these guys can come up with for the next round... Simon wants something more... What do you think? I loved Sam and Vicky! I haven't seen a quick change act for years and it needs reviving right quick - so much fun! Simon agrees with me, but he isn't a fan of Vicky's voice. "You can't sing and there's not many people who could do that act like that. The act was great but the singing cheapened it!" Piers tells them straight, "if you tell me you're gonna stop singing then I'll put you through". Simon backs him up, "It's your act and you shouldn't compromise. What are you going to do?"
Vicky hesitates... I have to say I admire her guts. "Nobody has ever said I can't sing. We've made a living doing this for six years and we've done alright... I guess we'll continue to do so!" The crowd explode, they're right behind her and cheer on the duo's commitment. The judges seem oblivious... Piers says no, but Amanda can't bring herself to do it. "I think you've made the wrong decision, but I have to admire your balls. I'm saying yes". In a shocking twist of fate, Simon agrees with Amanda and they're through! How did Piers come out looking the bad guy?
As act after act leave the stage and the buzzer rings out as nobody makes it, the judges have a crisis meeting. Will they have to abandon Blackpool?
Praise be for Par Diem! Blackpool earns redemption in the shape of a real band, who can play well and sing. I couldn't have said it better than Simon who loves their likeability and thinks they'll go far. I love genuine talent don't you? Look out for these guys over the next few weeks!
Off to London>>>
I'm a little confused to see the Powderpuff Girls go through along with the Venamian's Eyes. Both acts are strange with a capital S, but I guess the judges see something in them. Simon loved the girls wiggling about in their huge slinkies (no surprise there) and Amanda fell for the Powderpuff Girls in a big way. I've never seen guys in drag kick so high! Can I have a go of one of those eye costumes, they look like fun!
Manchester>>>
Alex Lees returns with a comedy act and makes it through... I think he's a sweet little guy and don't get me wrong he's full of charm, but I'm not convinced. I think the judges pushed themselves into a corner by inviting him back and let's be honest he would have been heartbroken to have gone out again!
GO George GO! I remember George from last year and he was fantastic - What a dancer! Simon recognises him straight away too... "You didn't make it through to the live shows last year, but I always thought you should have". The problem at the time was that Piers and Amanda had their favourites and George wasn't up there for them. Simon fought his corner last year, but Piers and Amand wouldn't fold.
George explains that he's been dancing on the streets of Manchester to improve his moves, pay for lessons and so his mum can drive him to auditions. He struts his stuff and I can only describe his dancing as s***hot! He rocks! The judges love him and Simon gushes, "Last year I thought you were fantastic but I didn't think that this time... I thought you were phenomenal!" The crowd go wild and so does George. As well as being super-talented, he's so loveable and humble - I'm sure he'll go far.
So who was your fave tonight?

I'll be here when the show airs to give my opinion on the acts and I can't wait to hear what you think. Tomorrow the judges are in Blackpool and as Simon sees the golden mile as our Las Vegas, he's expecting a lot!
But will things work out the way the judges hope?
The ones to watch are... an escapologist who needs rescuing, a phenomenal Michael Jackson tribute act, the world’s most confident 8-year old and a pensioner who tells it like it is.
See you then! Selena x 4月23日 Highlights!Hi guys!
Check out my photo album for all the latest back stage pics from show 2.
I've added my 3 highlights from Saturday's show below, just incase you missed them...
Enya was too funny! Charlie was a little sensation...
and Madonna, well she's a finalist if you ask me.
Who do you think topped the bill on Saturday? Leave your comments... Selena x 4月21日 Hold On Holden!Put the flags out people, Amanda Holden has managed to hold back the tears for four days! It has to be a record... In a recent interview she said that she was determined not to cry this series, but it all went to pot on Saturday's show when Madonna graced the stage. "The reason I was so moved by Madonna's story is because she had to move to this country to make a living. Every penny she makes she sends back to her children and she hasn't seen them for a year. When she told us that I thought okay that's fine, hold it together. I mean lots of women go out to work...
...But when she started to sing I Will Always Love You, I knew she was singing it for her children. I completely lost it, like really badly and I haven't cried for four days (which is quite good for me) - but with her, I absolutely lost it".
I think it's great that Amanda shows her emotions. I mean if it was left to Simon and Piers there'd be no emotional connection at all and everyone ON the stage would probably be in tears.
Has anybody brought you to tears this series?

4月19日 Live Blog - Show 2Who's going to knock the judges socks off tonight and who floats your boat? Leave your comments...
First up is Glyn Carpenter who sings I'm To Sexy and rips off his coat to reveal the smallest black G-string! He's virtually starkers, what a scream! The judges insist that shaking his parts is NOT a talent. Two words... GET OFF! Caroline the poet is no better... She actually seems insulted by the judges buzzes. Simon says, "When she watches that back she will see how bad they are". Ouch!
Little Charlie Green is the cutest! The crowd fall for him straight away and as he sings Summer Wind so do the judges. His swing style is unbelievable, a little unatural for such a young lad but great. Piers thought he had it all, Amanda predicts he could win and Simon thought he was "just fantastic". It was obvious that Charlie loves this style of music, he's a little star in the making - Finally some talent! He sails through...
Enya Sparks is full of life, but sadly no Britney Spears when it comes to dancing (bless her!) - She bops away to Toxic and to Simon's dismay, Piers and Amanda refuse to buzz and cheer her on. In the end Simon walks behind the desk and buzzes on their behalf. Simon asks, "What he bloody hell was that?" Enya replies, "That was big girl power!" Simon hates it... "The dancing was hideous", Amanda disagrees "You're one hot mamma" and Piers says he's been waiting all life for a girl like Enya. Two to one, Enya is through to the next round.
Cheeky Charlie is a confident little nipper. He's a young boy (going on 40) and he acts like he's been doing this for years - his delivery and timing are fantastic! You don't see many stand up comics anymore, good for you lad! Simon says, "if your nan discovered you then I want her to come and work for me!" Charlie tells Cowell that she died last year and he cringes under the desk... But Charlie's not phased, in fact he bursts out laughing because he panicked Simon. He gets a standing ovation from the crowd and laughs his way into the next round. After his audition the judges are in awe of his confidence.
Next up are two ladies with five ferrets (yes you heard me right). They advise the judges that the ferrets are going to dance (although they've never done the act LIVE before). As Barbie Girl plays it's a ferret disaster! One runs away, one hides backstage and Ant and Dec spend the whole audition chasing after them. I can't believe the ladies look disappointed when the judges say no! The whole thing was rubbish, but the ferrets were cute!
Is it just me or do most animal acts suck?
Liam and Danny are Strike! They're extreme martial artists and Amanda's sold before they start (so am I). She asks what their dream is (and adds that she's gonna have a lovely dream later). The guys kick and punch to music and then all hell breaks loose when they remove their clothes. The girls go wild! Amanda smiles, "you look sensational, you were sensational, but it's a skill and I'm not sure if you can class it as entertainment. I was VERY entertained". Both Simon and Piers put them through too, they can hear the girls in the crowd go wild and they know these lads are gonna be popular.
David Watson freaks me out. He claims to be an impressionist, but you know when you just know it's gonna be car crash TV... I can't even look! He starts his act and there are no impressions - it's all in his own voice! The crowd scream to get him off and I can't help laughing - Piers and Amanda are yet to buzz... They just want him to carry on - It's so kack it's funny! The poor guy tries to say the crowd are putting him off. Amanda has no pity, "if the crowd shouting 'off' bothered you then you're in the wrong business!"
Madonna's up next and her children are on the other side of the world with there grandmother, she sings to send money home to them. She can't hold back the tears as she explains her situation to the judges and Amanda is in floods before she begins. She sings I Will Always Love You and Simon raises his eyebrows which is always a good sign. He has dollar signs flashing before his eyes if you ask me... Simon says "I didn't expect anything like that" and Amanda's still blubbing, "I know you were singing that for your babies... sniffle, sniff..." Piers is beaming from ear to ear, "I thought that was brilliant!"
Although Simon admits that Madonna's picked up some bad singing habits from the pubs and clubs, he's more than happy. "Just for that one act it was worth coming up here". I thought she was good, but I'm not sure if she's a winner!
So tonight's show is all over and there's been tears, talent and tantrums. Who was your favourite? Leave your comments... Selena x
4月18日 Saturday Sneak PeekI don't know about you, but I'm really looking forward to tomorrow's show. There has been so much press coverage about last week's auditions, especially when Andrew Johnston opened up about being bullied - It's been overkill!
As I said in my last post there's so much more talent to come and Saturday night has plenty! Watch out for another sensational contender and if you want real entertainment then don't miss Dec shaking his fists at the judges. Amanda, Simon and Piers manage to make a little girl cry this week by banging their buzzers and good old Declan is ready to fight her corner. The poor girl bursts into tears after the first buzz, but like a true professional she carries on (while still in floods).
Join me tomorrow as the show airs for the LIVE blog...
I can't wait to here what you think of the acts! In the meantime I wanted to showcase an act that was only shown on ITV2 last week and I didn't want you to miss it! If you ask me, Andrew from Chesterfield is the one who got away and I was shocked that the judges didn't scoop him up - Especially when you consider that the guy who played the Star Wars theme made it through!

4月15日 Morgan V's NortonThe whole country may have gone Andrew Johnston crazy, but I'm not sure if it's all too much and it's not worth starting a slanging match over?
We've only had one audition show, one! I'm telling you there is so much talent to come and I think it's a little early to be screaming 'winner' and claiming Andrew is the next Paul Potts - Plus the fact that all this publicity can only get his hopes up.
Judge Piers Morgan said that Andrew's performance brought a genuine lump to his throat. He's also sympathetic of the young boys story and feels the need to defend him... In his blog he lashes out at Graham Norton for his Saturday night comments - Piers said, "how pathetic to see Graham Norton, over on the other side, pour scorn on him by sneering: "Is that his trick? That he was bullied? Ooh, well done…." Pick on someone your own size Norton, you mincing, talentless little tool".
Ouch! His words not mine!
Graham needs to choose his words more carefully, but I understand what he's trying to say. A lot of these shows are becoming more about the story than the talent. Andrew didn't appear insincere though... I believed him.
Next Saturday's show has some amazing talent and one auditionee blows the judges away... Who will win Britain's Got Talent? We shall see...

4月12日 LIVE BLOG - SHOW 1Welcome to the new series of Britain's Got Talent. Ater the mania caused by Paul Potts last year, who will hug the nation's hearts this time around?
Things are slightly different this year... Rather than the auditions running daily over a week, they'll be every Saturday night for the next seven weeks. The finals will run throughout week eight and the winner will perform infront of Prince Charles at the Royal Variety Performance.
The judges are in place and so is the live audience, so let's see who's gonna be BUZZED first!
First up is Michael Maychall and he plays the theme from Star Wars. I know you're waiting for the hook, but I'm afraid there isn't one - That's it! He's buzzed repeatedly... Simon has no mercy and tells Michael, "if I was Prime Minister I would ban electronic keyboards. That was awful, I don't know anyone who would want to hear that again..." Michael is NOT impressed, "Simon - I'll be back!"
To Simon's dismay, Piers and Amanda both put Michael through. "You'll be back sooner than you think!" The audience cheer as Simon sits head in hands... I have to agree with him you know, they really shouldn't give contestants false hope like this. Mr Star Wars thinks he has a chance now - He doesn't!
WOW! How amazing was Iona! This contortionist held her own weight using just her mouth, I really couldn't believe it could you? All of the judges were gobsmacked by her routine and Piers went as far as to ask if she had a boyfriend. Simon thought she was spellbinding and I have to agree. Iona has a lot to offer - strength, talent and brains no less, she's a trainee lawyer too!
If you missed it, just watch Simon's face before she grips the mouth stand. You just know he's thinking... She's not going to do THAT is she? Ant and Dec cracked me up throughout this one. Listen out for their quips... You've just gotta love em! Whoops, you missed the vid!! Next up for a good buzzing is dad of two, Craig Harper. It's so sweet when he starts his act and he hears 'GO ON DAD' from the audience, the crowd explode - "Thanks son!" He performs a send up of Boyzone and impersonates Steven Gately and Ronan Keating. It's hilarious and the judges are sold... Simon gushes, "I thought it was a brilliant act. The reason guys like you don't get a shot is usually because of London snobbery. The only thing I would say is you should try to look more like a star - That's the third yes, you're through to the next round!" Craig is good fun, but I'm not sure how far he'll go???
GIN IS A WONDERDOG! Doggy freestyler Kate Nicholas and her canine pal Gin have just ripped the stage to pieces! Talk about something new and different, this takes the cake. Gin and Kate dance, roll and leap across the stage to the James Bond theme and in a word it's ace. Half way through the act when Gin walks backwards Simon screams "oh my God!" The crowd just can't stop applauding and Simon is pleased as punch...
- "Kate... I have searched all of my life for the next Lassie and I think we just found him. That was sensational" -
Piers can't hold his excitement, "I think this could be the first time we have a non-human winner" and Amanda just thinks he's adorable, "that was genius!" Gin jumps for joy right into Kates arms and Simon is impressed that he can't be phased. "I have never seen anything like that in my life. He's better than Rin Tin Tin".
Whoops, you missed the vid!! Next up is Jim and Joan and they're a strange duo. Jim begins by standing on Joan's back while she spreads herself across a bed of nails and Joan returns the favour by breaking concrete over Jim's back with a sledgehammer - What's all that about? Needless to say they're both buzzed and they're out of there... By the way, did I mention that Joan was 74 and in nothing but a leotard? NO? Let's just say it wasn't the one...
A group that DO tick all the boxes are Scala. These four girls are super-talented and lush (piers had to stop his eyes from popping out!) They perform as an electric string quartet and they're like a clutch of Vanessa Mae's - Great stuff! I think the only problem here is that this has been done before and the public may not respond as well to them as they do to others. Always one for the ladies, Simon thinks they are "incredible, fantastic and really, really good". Amanda agrees, "you have a great chance of going all the way!"
Donald tickled me! He was in a world of his own from the beginning and I couldn't stop laughing. When Simon asked why he was here, he replied "I'm here to entertain myself" and then Simon asked what do you do? "I'm 20 years old" was the reply - I have no idea what planet this guy's on, but I wouldn't mind visiting! Donald starts his act by singing Valerie and Simon buzzes him straight away. Amanda follows suit moments later, but the audience are behind young Donald and starting singing with him to try and aid his squeaky vocals. He stops and Ant and Dec egg him on, after all Piers is yet to buzz him and he happily claps along. Steam floods out of Simon's ears as Piers allows Donald to sing another song and it's Bleeding Love by Leona. The audience cheer him on and sing along, but Piers finally gives up. He puts Donald through but both Simon and Amanda aren't having it. "One hundred percent NO. You were pants" - Ouch!
After last years infamous magician cull (the judges hate magicians), I was surprised to see Rick Greene fly through the first stage with his magic act. I have to admit though, he was pretty good... NO David Copperfield by any means, but worth looking out for. The same goes for Irresistable. The judges loved the trio but it was all a bit old if you ask me. They sang Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy in uniform and I groaned before they started - Great voices, but I wasn't sold. Finally, the last contestant took to the stage and I was taken back to that infamous Paul Potts audition. Andrew Johnson is 13, pale, nervous and bullied for singing... You know when you just know the story is gonna have the audience in tears? This was one of those times... He's been singing since he was 6 years old and his mum waits in the wings... Simon looks concerned as Andrew is shaking like a leaf, "what do you do when you get bullied Andrew?" He replies, "I just keep singing". The crowd erupt! Andrew expains that he lives on a council estate and does not want to hang around on the streets. He sings Pie Jesu and although his voice quivers with nerves his tone is perfect - phenominal! Amanda is in floods, "I promised myself I wouldnt cry. You could knock those bullies out with that voice". Piers agreed, "the thing with school bullies is you've got more talent than they could dream of". Simon wanted to give him a boost, "I think you've got more talent than you think you do, so hear it from me you're good. If you come back I want to see self belief, I want you to come out and tell me you can win this because your capable".
No offence, but if this young boy wins BGT then Simon will have to work fast to make his dough. As the new Aled Jones his voice could break anytime - tick tock Simon, tick tock!
I'm such a cynic aren't I?
