    Diversity Do It For Disney!

Britain’s Got Talent winners, Diversity and 100 young street dancers danced up a storm in Covent Garden as they performed a one off routine to celebrate the launch of Disney XD – a new TV channel from Disney.

The impromptu dance extravaganza excited and surprised bystanders as the boys showed off their fancy foot work to mark the arrival of Disney XD, the UK’s first primarily boy-focused TV channel for kids, which hits screens on August 31st 2009.

In the run up to launch, Disney XD is setting a series of challenges for UK personalities to help inspire kids to try new activities. The first show will follow the young street dancers’ race against time to learn Diversity’s specially choreographed routine in just a few days before the Covent Garden event. The exclusive behind the scenes look at the street dance challenge is set to air on the channel in early September.

Jonathan Boseley, Vice President, Programming for Disney XD said: ‘Diversity seemed like the perfect fit to help celebrate the launch of such a fun dynamic channel. Disney XD is all about kids celebrating their achievements and the challenges they overcome to reach their goals - who better to capture this than Diversity, whose talent and close-knit relationships made them such a success.’

Mitchell, who at 12 years old is the youngest member of Diversity, said: ‘We’ve had so much fun creating this dance for Disney XD and I can’t wait to watch the new channel!’

What a thrill for these young dancers.
    It's up, up, up guys.
We knew you could do it!

MJ Memorial In Awe Of Shaheen

Shaheen Jafagholi has just performed at the Michael Jackson Memorial and it was a fitting tribute by one so young, I'm sure he made his idol proud.

After watching the youngster audition on Britain's Got Talent, Jackson invited Shaheen to perform with him on his UK tour but unfortunately that wasn't to be...

After Michael's death, the Jackson family contacted Shaheen to personally invite him to the service and perform.

As Shaheen gathered himself backstage, legendary singer/songwriter Smokey Robinson gave an emotional introduction to the song he penned - Who's Loving You. He said "At the time I couldn't believe it was Michael singing. How could such a young boy sing about loving someone and losing them? I had to meet him, he sang with so much 'know'."

In fitting tribute, Shaheen then took to the stage and performed Who's Loving You with a passion and warmth reminiscent of a young Michael... The crowd were literally in awe.

Personally I was amazed at how well the 12 year old held it together. He stood directly behind Michael's golden casket and that would be hard for the most seasoned performer. Usher broke down later under similar circumstances.

As Shaheen's moment came to an end, the crowd gave a standing ovation. He bowed gracefully and then addressed the Jackson family, "I am honoured to be here" and "I love Michael Jackson". He was visibly choked and before it became too much, he left the stage like a true professional.

I can only imagine how this young man's career is going to explode tomorrow... Over a billion people watched Michael's Celebration of Life.

It was said during the service that the title 'King of Pop' wasn't big enough for Michael. He should be remembered as "The Greatest Entertainer Who Ever Lived".

I hope Shaheen follows in his footsteps. Here's to you Michael...

Shaheen To Perform At Michael's Memorial

Britain's Got Talent contestant Shaheen Jafargholi will be among the performers at today's memorial concert for Michael Jackson.

He was both flattered and surprised to receive a personal invite from the Jackson family, who told him that his hero had watched him on YouTube and was a huge fan.

    Michael Jackson - © Rex

Shaheen shot to fame singing Michael's Who's Loving You, on the hit TV show Britain's Got Talent. It's rumoured that the Jackson family have requested that very track..

An excited Shaheen told Heat, "Michael is a huge inspiration to me. I am honoured and proud to be invited by his family to perform."

Other stars taking part include Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Hudson, Mariah Carey, Lionel Richie, Usher and John Mayer. Diana Ross is also expected, but she will not be performing.

What an honour to be asked. I'm sure it is something Shaheen will remember for the rest of his life, it's such a shame it's happened under such terrible circumstances.

The Grand Final - Live Blog

    Diversity Win Britain's Got Talent!

In a shock result, Diversity knocked red hot favourite Susan Boyle off the top spot to steal the Britain's Got Talent crown. Their innovative routine transcended 'dance' and combined artistic movement with comedy and 'tude'. They topped Susan's rendition of I Dreamed a Dream and the Essex boys just couldn't believe it. At 20-1 they would have been a great bet!

    Relive the entire night below...

    SHOW STARTS:

Oooh, I can't wait here we go... - I'd like to think that Diversity (or any other act) could win it but with the worldwide support that Susan Boyle has gathered, I don't think they can... I think it's a done deal and that shouldn't be how it is. Should winners be created before they've won? Should they be on Oprah for crying out loud? Click here leave your comments...

Here come the judges - Amanda looks very Marilyn Monroe, top to toe in red satin. The hair and everything is 50's... or is that just how old the boys are?

I'll be leaving my comments as each act performs:

    Flawless:

The boys blow me away tonight with their Michael Jackson medley. They're 'on it' the whole way through and the routine is crisp. Every move clean as a whistle and I loved the New Your street feel. Sadly their choice of Micheal Jackson songs just reminded me of the sensational 'Smooth Criminal lean' that Diversity performed in the semi-finals. I wish they had chosen different music.

The boys are out of breath but smiling, "We've been rehearsing really hard. It's been an amazing experience, we're still chasing our dream."

Simon: "Since your first performance you haven't put a foot wrong. In normal circumstances you guy would walk a show like this. But you definitely saved the best performance till last, now we have a competition!"

Piers: "I love how the critics say that this show has no talent and is full of oddballs and eccentrics. You guys just prove them wrong."

Amanda agrees, "You boys make me proud ot be British!"

    Shaheen

I love Shaheen, he's such a sweety and I was in awe of his semi-final performance. The tone of his voice is amazing, though I do think he needs to work on his diction. Sometimes his words blur into each other...

He sings Who's Lovin' You and it's an old time classic that really suits his voice. He still gives me goosebumps but I have to admit, I prefered his semi-final song choice. WOW - The final bars are unbelieveable and the judges are on their feet!

Shaheen says, "That was completely amazing! When I got through, I couldn't wait to come back and do it again". Bless him!

Simon: "I've been in two minds about having kids on this show after this weeks events but after that performance... I think if you have talent (regardless of age) and you can cope with it, you should be able to enter. I think win or lose it's a great thing to happen to you Shaheen, but I have to say you're in with a real shot!"

Piers: "WOW! That was amazing, unbelievable. I've had interviews today about what happened to Hollie last night and they said we shouldn't have children on this show - It's not fair. It's not fair to the adults when you do that! Seriously, every sngle round you've got better and better."

Amanda: "You've got absolute star quality!"

    Aiden Davis

Aiden performs on two stage built treadmills with a small dance area between. It's really effective as he seemlessly slides across the floor and there's even more punch when he combines the treadmill movs with the screen repeat imagery from yesterday.

Aiden said he loved his performance and he wants to thank everyone who voted to get him to the final.

Amanda: "What I love about you (apart from your genuis dancing and gorgeous face) is your fabulous attitude. You're so relaxed and together."

Simon: "It was great - But I have to be honest with you, I don't feel that it was as good as yesterday's performance. You only had 24 hours to turn it round and you could tell you didn't have the time that everybody else had. You didn't have a chance to do all the tricks..."

Piers: "I don't agree with Simon. I was waiting for you to be worse and you weren't! I thought it was amazing."

Poor Aiden, it's like the positives have washed over him and all he's heard is Simon. He wipes away a tear and Simon adds, "You've still got the public vote, don't listen to me."

    2 Grand

I think 2 Grand might just be the cutest act I've ever seen on this show. Bless 'em!

They perform A Whole New World and although the timing's off in places, the crowd love it. Sallie says this week has been the best week of her life and John says that as always, he loves singing with his grandaughter.

Simon says that he loves these guys, but he does think that nerves got the better of them. "You won't win and you've come as far as you can go." Piers is happy that they've had this opportunity, "This is the only place you could do this... and you were fantastic. To me you have already won it just by standing there."

    Hollie Steel

She does have a beautiful voice doesn't she - such clarity and so pure. I'm happy she made it all the way thought without breaking down again, it would have been just awful (plus after yesterday she'd never be allowed to have another go). Her final note is nothing short of phenomenal!

Hollie: "I was much less nervous and it made me feel better."

Piers commends her bravery, "Everyone was waiting to see if you could hold it together, it was wonderful, you looked confident and you looked like a little star!"

Amanda: "You can tell how much you wanted it after yesterday, you were desperate for that second chance. You were better than yesterday and you look beautiful."

Simon: "I have to judge you like an adult, yes? We're in agreement...? You were fantastic! You held it together brilliantly and you held the notes brilliantly. I think you've brought yourself back into this competition and not through pity, through talent - Which is where you want to be. Well done!"

Personally I prefered her first audition, but what do I know!

    Stavros Flatley

Go on lads! They perform an homage to Lord Of The Dance and the judges are on their feet! Daddy Dimitri is so excited he screams "Come on!" at the end.

It was funny, energetic and my head nearly fell off when they really had a go at riverdancing - They stepped into a lineup of ladies and flailed like professionals - It was fantastic! "We've had the times of our lives!"

    STAVROS FLATLEY - REX/ITV

Amanda admits that they are her secret favourite "I laughed my head off for all the right reasons and I want people to pick up the phone and vote, vote, vote!"

Simon nods, "I thought that was genius! I've heard a lot of flack about you, but this show is about how you make people feel.. and you make people feel good!"

Piers is still visualing the Queen's face when the curtain goes back and out run these guys!

Daddy Dimitri thanks all of the judges and then addresses Simon. "Thank you Simon, I just know you have a bit of Greek in you. (The crowd cheer!) - NO one is that cool without a bit of Greek!" - I love these guys, I just want to hug them both!

So what do you think of it so far?
Click here leave your comments... Go Diversity!

    Shaun Smith

Simon is concerned that Shaun may be forgettable. "He's got to do something memorable, he needs to stand out!"

Shaun performs Ain't No Sunshine and vocally it's sound. The issue I have with Shaun is his face when he performs - I wonder if the judges will pick up on it. On X Factor Simon's usually first to spot the silly faces. It's something he can work on though, so no biggy. Other than the gurning, he's bob on... And when his face is straight, he aint too bad to look at either!

"That was great, I loved it - I really want this!"

Simon: "Shaun you said you wanted to give the performance of your life and guess what, you did. I didn't feel the nerves this time - Great choice of song, you look fantastic on camera - I'd say you've got a great shot now."

Amanda, "I agree I'm just going to mirror what's been said - Sexy, fantastic and I think you're right to want to persue this as a career in the future".

    Susan Boyle

Are you ready for this? This lady has HUGE pressure on her and I hope she can keep it together...

Susan sings the song that catapulted her into the stratosphere, I Dreamed A Dream. She remains wonderfully calm throughout the first verse and then literaly brings it home - Simon is beaming!

WOW! What an emotional, heartfelt performance. You did it girl! Judges and crowd, the whole studio are on their feet. Here's to the first lady of BTG!

Susan thanks everyone for their support and when Ant and Dec ask if it was worth it, she nods. "It was well worth it, I'm amongst friends anyway am I not?!" The crowd cheer...

Piers: "You've had such a hard time from this show, you've been boiling over, leaving the show, cracking up... But all I've said is that you just need to do to answer your critics, is to walk down that stage and sing the song that put you here. I'm not supposed to have favourites on this show, but forget that. That to me was THE best performance I've ever seen on Britain's Got Talent. You should win this show!"

Amanda: "I have to agree with Piers. Susan I've never heard such a strong, powerful performance and something I've never seen, Simon had a tear in his eye."

Simon, "I don't know who's going to win this show but that was fantastic. There's been a lot of speculation, what with you doing things in America, whether you should even be in this show... Whatever happens Susan, I've got to know the real Susan Boyle who's still a real shy person who just wants a break. You can walk away from this with your head held high, I absolutely adore you."

COME ON MY BOYS - IT'S DIVERSITY!

Oh my God, I really can't wait to see what they come up with!

    Diversity mimic the judges

That, was amazing! How fantastic was it when they parodied the BTG judges and their buttons? They used red caps and Perri was a female singing act - It was their turn to do the buzzing! ...There was the Perri throw, Mitchell becoming Superman in their human phonebooth... you name it - I could go on and on. Just wicked, so ingenius and fresh. I love these guys.

    DIVERSITY - REX/ITV

Ant and Dec can't stop the crowd, they're blowing the roof off and there's a standing ovation from the judges.

Choreographer Ashley says, "It's so great to get this far with my family." Ant asks about where his ideas come from and he jokes, "I'm blessed... No but seriously it comes from videos. film, music..."

Over to the judges: Amanda is in awe, "I think you floored Flawless. There is room for you out there and I think you could be a winner tonight. I don't think anyone can presume who's gonna win this show after that!"

Simon shocks everyone. "All bets are off after that. If I had to give a mark, that would be the only act tonight I'd give a ten to (WOW!) - Looking at you now, you're all different ages and sizes. The choreography was brilliant, you didn't put a foot wrong and you could really win this!"

After openly rooting for Susan (when he should be impartial), Piers says he thinkg that Flawless topped them. What rubbbish - You can't beat a 10 out of 10 from Simon, especially when it's the only one he's giving!

GET ON YOUR PHONES AND VOTE DIVERSITY PEOPLE!

    Julian Smith

How smooth is this guy? He plays Somewhere from West Side Story and there's not a peep, the crowd are mesmerized (and so am I!). Julian doesn't fall flat and I swear he speaks with his sax - Every note floats from his person and hugs your soul. What a performance.

Simon: Julian you did it. On the most important night of your life you did it. People get your talent and like you - You've got every shot.

Amanda: "I don't think your dream ends here, I think you've got a career after this regardless of what happens."

    So that's it peeps...

Diversity react to winning Britain's Got Talent

I just can't tell you how happy I am. They're such lovely lads... and how many votes must they have got to beat Susan! Choreographer Ashley is in shock - "I actually... I'm speechless. I was saying to the guys, we made second! Everyone who voted, you've changed our lives and I can't believe this". The boys win £100,000 and the opportunity to perform for the Queen at The Royal Variety Performance.

I should have put a bet on, I've loved these guys from the moment I saw them. Such elan, such style and individuality - They are innovative and fresh.

..and it wasn't just the fun dance elements that captured us, it was you. Truly diverse, caring and humble -a real talented 'family'. Well done my boys, you made mamma proud!
Susan is gracious in defeat. "The best act won. They're great and pure showbiz!" As she says her goodbyes she wiggles once more at Piers... LOL!

    SHOW STARTS:

    Loving Ms Holden's hair tonight...

    Performing tonight are:

    Aidan Davis - Dancer
    DCD Deniors - Dance Group
    Good Evans - Singers
    Greg Pritchard - Singer
    Hollie Steel - Singer/Ballerina
    Luke Clements - Performer
    Martin Matcham - Musician
    The Dreambears - Dance/Entertainment Act

I'll be posting my comments as each act performs...

    The Dream Bears

The boys are as camp as they come and although Simon thinks they shouldn't be in the semi-final, they're promising "something amazing!"

They bop around in raincoats to it's raining men and then strip down to union jack vests and red rubber hotpants! Even Simon is in shock and he doesn't buzz until the second chorus. The guys throw some shapes and keep the routine going, the crowd are on their feet.

Wit woo! Simon admits he buzzed, "Because we had a wardrobe malfunction with the guy on the left!" LOL! I didn't even notice one of the guys was flashing his undies, his pants had split!

Simon said, "It was clumsy, the costumes didn't fit and of course it's not the sort of thing that the Queen would want to see."

Amanda loves it and said there's no reason they can't have three queens infront of the queen. Piers is beginning ot worry as he's starting to see them as a guilty pleasure. Great fun, but I don't think they'll make the final.

    Good Evans

Grrr! The judges told the parents of this group to step back and let young Elliot come to the fore. This young man was sensational in the first audition, but I'm dissapointed to see the parents say "We've decided 'as a family' to perform together in the semi-final."

Mmmm... Had it been Elliot on his own I think he would have had a shot at the final, but Peers buzzes the minute the parents open their mouths. Have they blown it?

Piers: "It just doesn't work, Elliot's the star here. He's been mobbed in the stret and I'm guesing you haven't!"
Amanda: "I think you were right being backing vocals which is what they wanted, the girls were brilliant and Elliot was great..."
Simon's quite patronising in his critique. "I can't say anything bad about the two girls in front, they're so sweet. Yeah, the two at he back are something different... Well you're not gonna win! Elliot it was the wrong song for you, but you've all had a nice day out haven't you? Ouch!

Me, didn't like it. I agree with Simon that it was the wrong song and the family should have taken the judges advice on board and let Elliot sing on his own. He could have been a contender.

Would you drop your dream if it meant you children could have theirs? I wouldn't cling on to it and let their chance slip by that's for sure.

    Luke Clements

Part time juggler, carpenter and teepee maker Luke is going to try and chuck watermelons up in the air to make it to the final. No, you heard me right...

Simon asked him to move it on from apples and try melons in the semi-finals. He gave them melons and fire juggling but Simon still buzzed! They all buzz and the judges agree that Luke's gone from being unique to a run of the mill juggler. Amanda says, "Juggling fire is what we see at every single audition!"

Luke is visibly put out, "I've performed my show across the country and they enjoy it - I'll stay as I am and I was happy with that, thank you very much."

    Hollie Steel (Part 1)

Bless little Hollie - She started singing Eidelweiss and then burst out crying through nerves. She was doing so well, but I think she felt she messed up or missed a note. She's literaly inconsolable and Amanda walks to the stage... She calls for her mummy and mum arrives to comfort her at the front of the stage.

...We see mum plead with the judges to let her do it again, but Ant tries to explain that that they don't have turn - With this news she's almost hysterical.

Simon jumps in and says, "I don't know how we'll do it, we'll speed this along and find the time somewhere Hollie." Take a step back people - What Simon Cowell says goes!

Simon adds, "Regardless of what happens Hollie, when you were on it, you were brilliant! Eerybody gets nerves..." Hollie starts to settle herself as Ant says there'll be a commercial break and then they'll let her do it again. I know it wasn't on purpose, but I'm sure people will be clambering for the phone after that.

...When she called for her mum I was nearly in floods myself. And bless Amanda Holden for jumping up to support her!

    Martin Matcham

Remember Martin with the pushy Mother-In-Law? Simon called him an "average guitar player with an awful guitar!" Do you get the feeling Simon's gonna make this short so there's time for Hollie?

He performs Addicted To Love and even has Robert Palmer style saucy dancers (you know the red lips and black bodytards). I was pleasantly surprised to be honest, even Simon didn't buzz till the last few bars!

Piers: "I can tell that this is the best thing you've ever done and the biggest chance you've had... I love the backing band, loved the suit and loved the guitar, I loved all of it!"

Amanda: "I think ther's a bit of sex appeal coming in..."

Simon: "Loved the band, didn't like your voice and hated the guitar solo. I don't think you need to plan what you're playing tomorrow." That's gotta hurt... Watch out for the Mother-In-Law Simon!

    Aidan Davis

One word, COOL! How amazing was that screen effect? I have to admit I was watching that more than the dancing though, it was amazing but distracting.

I manage to pull my eye back to Aiden in time to think 'WOW!' He's phenomenal and the old school popping blows me away. Ant & Dec have been having a go and they admit, "We've decided to leave it to Aiden" - They're rubbish!

I love how this boy presents himself - He's so exuberant. Amanda's chin's on the floor, she can't quite believe what she's seeing.

Amanda: "I thought your couldn't top your audition, but you just blew the roof off!"

Simon: You're twelve years old and I don't know what it is, but you have it! Total confidence, great face, great charisma and a great routine. I will be totally surprised if we dont see you tomorrow."

Aiden is overwhelmed and says, "I didn't think I would be better than my first audition, but the comments... (He beams) - Such a humble boy with a great talent. Dare I say that the screen trick reminded me of George Sampson's performance yesterday... (God, Im gonna get it now aren't I?)

    Hollie Steel (Part 2)

Hollie's back and although her voice still trembles a little, she makes it all the way through the song on key. The final note is unbelieveable.

She bursts into tears when the audience stand and applaud.

Simon: "Hollie you're officially the bravest girl in the world. You're only 10 years old, out there on your own, and it didn't go too well the first time around, but you managed to get back up there - Not only did you sing it well, you performed it too."

Amanda and Piers both agree that they could never have got back up there. Amanda says she'll amazed if Hollie's not in the final! Bless her, she gave it her best and I have to agree, I think she'll make the final. I mean if her perfomance didn't pull at your heartstrings you're dead inside!

    DCD Deniors

Shazam! The girls (and boy) dance to For One Night Only and it's an accomplished performance with flips, spins and high-kicks. A little caberet for my liking, but hey we all need a little sparkle don't we? As was the case in the first auditions, they rip off numerous outfits to reveal foxier numbers beneath and the crowd cheer every strip.

Simon: "It's a bit old school... It's not as current as some of the stuff out there. I do think that this group has the best chance (out of those we've seen in the last few days) of making it to the final. I don't think it was as good as Diversity or Flawless though, that's the problem".

Amanda interupts and tells the boys that the girls (and boy) deserve a break. "Diversity and Flawless are two, good but two very similar dance groups. This act has variety and glamor. We need some glitter and sparkle, I need company you know!"

    Greg Pritchard

No, no, no... I didnt like it. Piers was just on the VT explaining that Greg's a serious performer, but this contradicts what he had to say. Is it a joke?

Instead of the genuine performance he gave in the auditions, he performed as two artists. He wore a huge cape and sang Barcelona, one line in a low voice and one high??? I'm all for something different, but this was just plain weird! And did I mention that the cape grew as he sang?

    - I don't understand his motivation and it's a shame because his vocals were good.

Has the world gone mad? It was like a male and female singer in one body and I just felt it made a mockery of his talent. I wanted to really hear him belt it out and close the show with a bang. Why didn't he raise the roof like before?

Piers thought it was weird and wonderful, he loved it. "Totally amazing, very unique and very Britain's Got Talent!"

Amanda thought it was amazing in places, though she admitted it was shaky and his timing was off. Simon said "At one point I thought I was in a horror movie, when you did the two voices with the stupid cape (that's too big for you)... I started to question what this show's all about, I still don't know if it was good or bad. The last five seconds were very good... But I still can't get over what you were wearing!"

I think Greg blew it there and it will be a night for the kids. My money's on Hollie and Aiden.

So who should make the final?
    Click
    here to leave your comments...

Good Lord I've just seen an advert for News At Ten and Hollie's on there already! Like she isn't under enough pressure, they're going to whack her all over the news now for crying - Leave her alone!

    THE RESULTS:

Paul Potts performs and the crowd are hypnotised. His voice is still amazing and he's captivating, but I can't help being distracted by his Cowellesque square hair. The final bars remind me of why this guy won -Amazing!

Paul is humble as ever, "I'm shaking like a leaf, but I just want to take this chance to thank Simon, Amanda and Piers and everyone at Britain's Got Talent. Most of all I'd like to thank the great British public - Thank you for getting up and voting for me... I would never have been here without you."

Paul describes singing for the Queen as "nervewracking but a great honour." Will one of tonight's semi-finalist be 'the one'?

The winner of Britain's Got Talent Semi-Final 5 is:
    Aiden Davis!

He falls to his knees and covers his face (don't worry, he's smiling!)

Through to the Judges Choice are:
    Greg Pritchard and Hollie Steel

Do you really think after all Hollie's been through, they're gonna dump her? I don't... I don't think it would have mattered who was in the Judges Choice with her... and Greg knew it too.

Piers says, "You were great but this little girl did such a courageous thing. To get back up there, I have to go with my heart and Hollie!"

Amanda: "Greg you were great but it wasn't just that she came back... She gave the best performance vocally."

Hollie is through and bursts into tears. Simon makes her smile by saying, "You got three yeses. See you tomorrow!"

    So here's the big question...
Who's going to win Britain's Got Talent?
Click here to leave your comments...

You know I'm Diversity all the way, but I really enjoyed Aiden's performance tonight - It was original and sincere. Im looking forward to seeing what he comes up with for tomorrow... Amanda has also warned that her 'final outfit' is killer, so I'm looking forward to that too.

I'm off to find a frock for tomorrow myself, but don't go too far away will you? I want to hear your opinion tomorrow after each and every performance. See you for one of the best shows (and Live Blogs) ever!

    Piers Morgan - Mini Q & A

    Have questions for Piers Morgan?
Well we scanned the blog for what you wanted to know and asked him! - I thought his answers were quite funny in places!

    1. You were recently quoted as saying that Britain's Got Talent is 100% talent whereas Big Brother is for the talentless. Was this correct? ...and if so are you pleased to hear that Big Brother is coming to an end next year, or do you think there's room on TV for both ilks?

I meant that to win BGT you need a talent, to win BB you just need to be less mad than the others. I think our show encourages people to pursue a real ability, whereas BB encourages imbeciles to be imbecilic.

    2. With the influx of fantastic dance acts on Britain's Got Talent, do you think that there's scope for a 'Best Dance Act' show similar to the one currently airing in America - America's Best Dance Crew? Would it be something you would be interested in producing?

Yes, and I think Simon’s having the very same thought.

    3. Are you really going to manage DJ Talent?

Of course, globally, and possibly inter-galactically.

    4. As many tabloids have claimed are you easily swayed during the auditions by pity, a sob story or pretty face? ...and if so, do you regret any of the selections you've made?

It’s human nature to be swayed by the personality of the performers. If they are dull, they stand less chance of going through than if they are great characters. Talent is only two thirds of what we’re looking for. Charm and humility and a sense of humour go a long way too.

    5. Finally, do you think it's a good idea to add a 'wildcard' show onto the end of the semi-final stage? This way you could bring back the acts that you feel deserved another chance (such as MD Showgroup and Natalie Okri) - Acts which you've admitted should have been in the final.

Yes, I do actually. And I’d have had that little drummer boy back if we did that.

Did his answers cut the mustard?

    Diversity Mania!

    Where’s Perri?

He's everywhere! (Well really he's the one in purple in the middle but you can see what I mean)

Britain’s Got Talent star, Perri Kiely, came face to face with his fans today. Literally hundreds of shoppers at Lakeside Shopping Centre, Essex, donned masks of the Diversity dancer to show their support for the boys.

The 13 year old member of the Essex street dance group is a regular visitor to Lakeside, where Diversity has been performing to shoppers for many years.

Perri says, “Lakeside is like a second home to us so it was amazing to come back and find such great support from local fans. It’s a bit wierd having so many clones though!”

One supporter said: "We've known Diversity for years - they're local guys who come down and do our children's dance workshops for us during half term. They have given loads of fantastic performances for them over the years too." Don't miss Diversity's showstopping performance on Saturday's Final - From what I've heard it'll knock your socks off!

    You've got to love them!
You know what I''m gonna say don't you?

    DIVERSITY TO WIN! WOOHOO!

See you tonight for the Live Blob when the show airs...

    Piers: Susan's Packed Her Bags!

Fingers crossed that Susan Boyle can hold her nerves until Saturday.

The media has gone crazy once more after Piers Morgan gave an exclusive interview to ITV News at Ten yesterday (aired straight after Britian's Got Talent - Convenient eh?)

Morgan told ITV News at Ten that Susan had packed her bags in preparation to leave the show. He said: "I've been told she's been in floods of tears.

On Wednesday she was actually going to leave the show, packed her bags to go, because she couldn't see the point in going on if all she was going to get was all this sniping.

'I think there's a lot of cynicism now building up about Susan, a lot of unnecessary criticism about her and we should give her a break.

She's two days away from the biggest show of her life, the biggest moment of her life."

The Sun recently quoted a source as saying, "The last thing bosses want is a meltdown on national TV. It's been made clear that if she's not right mentally, she won't appear in the final." There have also been rumours that Susan has a 'quiet place' to head to whenever she feels overwhelmed.

Personally, I hope Susan can work through her nerves. I know she has an amazing performance inside her for Saturday night.

To be honest, I don't think anybody has the right to judge. She's a real contender for the final and you can understand how any negative press can cause extra pressure. I do think that Piers needs to stop talking about her though. It can be taken by some as favouring one of the acts and it's just drawing the media eye back to Susan. If someone wants to be left alone, it just makes matters worse to talk about them and draw additional attention.

Just my view. what do you think?

Live Blog - Semi Final 4

Are you ready for a live one? I know I am.
It's funny, I actually missed the show yesterday when it wasn't on. I've got into the swing of blogging it every night - ruddy football!

Never one to have a night off though, I blogged the BBC's Apprentice live. Click here to take a peek... and then posted all the lastest goss on Big Brother 10!

    Anyway, back to the talent.
Tonight's group is not the trickiest but it's varied (if you know what I mean). The votes could well be split across the board as we have everything from dog acts to dancers and singers to strippers! It all depends on who tickles your fancy... Who will come out on top?

I'd like to see sexy sax man, Julian Smith and the funky and fabulous Brit Chix make it through - By far the best of the bunch and real talent to boot. Yes, yes... I know you'll all be ranting about young Callum, the breakdancing OAP and the super-cutesy pooch, but they're just not my bag. Then again, I'll always give anyone the benefit of the doubt. Let's just say it all depends on how they perform tonight... It's impossible to write anyone off on this show, you never know what you're gonna get.

Did you think Jamie Pugh would miss out on the final?
Did you think that Susan Boyle's voice would falter with nerves? There you go... The pressures on in the semi-finals people!

Join me throughout the Live Blog and leave your views on each performance. Just be sure to click F5 every once in a while to refresh and keep up. If you need a reminder of who made the final 40, check out my photo album and you can relive all previous sensational semi-finals below...

I'll also have news of who's in tomorrow's group later, so stick with me x

    SHOW STARTS:

I wonder if the last act to perform will make the final again? Have you noticed? It's happened every time so far.

Mmm... Not a fan of Amanda's dress tonight. It looks like three diferent frocks sewn together - One leapard, one bling and one satin ra-ra stat!

    Performing tonight are:

    Julian Smith - Saxophone Player
Two Grand - Grandfather and Granddaughter Duo
    Brit Chix - Musicians/Singers
    Fred Bowers - Breakdancing OAP
Jackie Prescott and Tippy Toes - Dog Act
    Sugarfree - Dance Group
    Callum Francis - Singer
    Fabia Cerra - Burlesque

I'll be posting my comments as each act performs...

    Sugar Free

These girls have a lot of competition from the male dance groups and they know it. They're just hoping that they can make the final and grab an opportunity to prove themselves. They perform to Circus and are dressed accordingly as sexy ringmasters. They're bob on for timing and my favourite part of the performance was the human drum kit. They're bouncing and the crowd are on their feet - But I don't think they match up to the boys.

Amanda: "Welcome to Britain's Got Talent. I think you fitted in perfectly and you'll give the boys a run for their money. I think there's room in the final for a bit of sparkle!"

Simon: "It was good, but some of the choreography was a bit lame. It just didn't feel like you were part of the choreograpy, it was just a little bit stage school for me."

Piers: "We had some stick for putting you through. But I have to say that I think Amanda and I were vindicated there. You are by far the best girl dance act we've seen!"

    What did you think?
Click here to leave your comments...

    Jackie Prescott and Tippy Toes

There's a difference of opinion here guys. On one hand we have Simon who challenged Jackie to get Tippy Toes tapdancing and on the other there's Amanda who says, "This is going to be a disaster. This dog cannot tapdance!"

Simon smiles and adds that this could be the best dog dance act ever seen on television, he even mentions Gene Kelly at one point - Are you kidding me?

They perform to Putting On The Ritz and bless them, they try so hard. There's plenty of begging, spinning on the spot and weaving through legs. It's cute and all that, but it's not my bag. I'm sure some just love it though. Are you voting for Tippy? Leave your comments...

Simon is disappointed that the dog didn't tapdance, but Jackie performs a few step signals and Tippy taps on the spot. The crowd cheer but Simon shakes his head. "I've come out of this looking a bit of an idiot really. (Ant asks "You haven't have you?") After what I said I was expecting the dog to tap!" What do you want Simon, plates screwed to his paws so he makes a noise?

Piers and Amanda enjoyed it, but after Simon's rather cutting comments Jackie makes a sharp exit. I think she may have been expecting a warmer reception from Mr Cowell. Shame on you Simon.

    Callum Francis

I can't wait to see what Callum has up his sleeve tonight. He's a cheeky little chap, but I just hope he's not as 'stage school' as before...

LOL! He's onstage with Baloo the Bear and can you believe he's doing the score from Jungle Book in a loin cloth - in 3 minutes! It's so different and there's so much involved, he could go through with this!

He loved it, "I've been rehearsing 24-7 and that was just fantastic".

Piers: "I didn't think you could recreate the magic you had in the first audition, but I needn't have worried. It doesn't matter if you make the final or not. I know that in ten years time I'll be watching you a the lead in a West End show."

Amanda: "That was perfection for me. You are a little smasher and never mind him saying 'if' you make the final. If you don't they've got me to answer to!"

Simon: "All my life I've wanted to meet Baloo the bear - Seriously. It's one of my favourite films of all time and I thought that was the perfect audition for you. Sometimes these kind of acts can be annoying but you're not. You didn't seem to take it too seriously tonight... I think you'll be in the final!"

I agree with Simon, I'm pleased he didn't take it too seriously. His last audition was quite forced whereas this was fun, fun, fun.

    Fred Bowers

Fred is 73 and I have to commend him for his energy. As he performs his breakdancing routine though, I'm concerned that this could be the first time someone keels over on Britain's Got Talent. It could be from exhaustion or from overexcitement, considering the amount of sexy dancers he has on stage with him! Either way I'm cringing... I'm terrified he's going to do himself an injury.

Amanda loved it but doesn't think it's suitable for the final. She suggests that he makes a fitness video instead (that the Queen may want to buy). "You'd make a fortune!"

Piers says that they are the best moves he's seen in years and Simon adds that Fred "is what he is and he's had a great time". All comments that don't say he's heading for the final. Sorry Fred!

As he chats to Ant & Dec they notice that he's injured himself and his arm's bleeding... Fred heads off for emergency treatment.

    Brit Chix

Come on girls! You're sassy, cool and you rocked last time around - don't let us down...

Eek! They perform a rock version of the Spice Girls track, If You Wanna Be My Lover (Friendship Never Ends) and it's an awful choice. The timing's off and the song just doesn't suit them. Sadly, all three judges buzz within a few bars and the poor girls have to physically stop playing. Even I feel embarrassed...

They inch towards the front of the stage slowly and my heart goes out to them. Did anyone else think the key seemed too low for them from the start?

Simon describes both the singing and playing as "Horrible". "The whole thing was just fake to me girls, it didn't sound authentic and just didn't work."
Piers disagrees (as does Amanda), "I don't think it was horrible, we took a punt on you but the vocals just aren't ther yet. I buzzed you as we're voting for acts to go into the final now, but you shouldn't stop doing this. You're look is fabulous and you'll get there."

The girls are gutted and the redhead is close to tears. "I just want to apologise to the girls as I feel that I messed up my first line and it all went from there. I'm so sorry to the people at home..."

Do you agree with the judges? Have a listen...

Ant reminds the girls that it's only the judges opinion. The crowd are silent with shock, I don't think they believe the judges stopped these girls mid-song. It was terrible to watch them stop one at a time as they realised that was it... Vote them through and give them another chance - Stranger things have happened!

    Julian Smith

There's not a lot you can say about that - Pure, serene perfection... Julian can blow!
Piers: "You're probably the coolest guy we've had on the show. The thing for me was if a guy could just stand on the stage alone and play. I really think you could win with that saxophone!"

Amanda: "I know you feel that this is the last chance for you, but after the reception tonight I hope that's not the case. Thank you for playing that so beautifully."

Simon: "I usually hate these kind of acts, but I like you Julian - You're cool and you really good. I think you are going to be popular tonight Julian and you have a great chance of getting through to Saturday's show."

You've got to love Julian. If he was any more laid back he'd be ruddy horizontal!

    Two Grand

Just how cute are these two? "I'd rather sing with my grandad than anyone else because I love him to bits..." Bless! John last his wife 15 months ago and he reveals that this has been a fantastic experience for him - It's kept him going.

Sallie starts off proceedings high on the staircase and then John joins in from the stage. The pair perform Somewhere Out There and to say it's sweet is an understatement - There's not a dry eye in the house and Amanda is in bits.

She wipes her eyes, "I'm a mess. It's lovely to watch two generations on stage and the great thing about you is that you appeal to all. Everyone across the country will love you, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and children."

Simon thinks there's something wrong with him tonight. "I loved the kid act, I loved the sax player and I really like you guys. You don't have the best voices in the world, but you have total sincerity. I think your wife will be very proud of you tonight John." (I'm welling up here...)

John touches his collar, "She's always with me. I wear her wedding ring around my neck." - It's official. I love John. With talk of her Grandmother, Sallie is emotionally overwhelmed and begins to cry... Sometimes it's easy to forget how young these guys are and how stressful this can be.

    Fabia Cerra

I'm no perv people, but where are Fabia'a boobs? There's no quick flash like last time, but nevertheless it's still a cracking performance. She's dressed in black with flashing red, white and blue ta-tas (and tassles).

I get the feeling she wanted to take this performance far more seriously than last time. It's an homage to Flashdance and she dances with feeling. There's an amazing leg raise and then spins into splits. She throws herself into a chair routine and pulls a cord to shower herself in water. It's quite a spectacle!

Simon: "I absolutely loved that - I did. There is no other show on earth where you can go from Balloo the bear, to Grandad and Grandaughter to those! I would love to see you in the final. Can I just ask you to turn those off, they're distracting me" The crowd giggle...

Piers disagrees about Saturday, "I loved it too, but we have a lot of great acts in the final. Then again if this is the end of the road for you, what a way to go!"

Amanda: "I just want to give you a round of applause from curvy girls everywhere. It was a stop the traffic routine and I would like you to turn them back on!"

Fabia flashes once more and she's pleased with her performance. "You have to take the good comments with the bad, that's how you make it in this business... If I go, I'm glad to go out on a high!"

    So that's it...
Who should go through to the final?
Click here to leave your comments...

Me - I think Brit Chix blew it with their choice of song, it wasn't anything to do with the girls and they shouldn't give up. I'm wondering if it sounded worse in the theatre as one audience member heckled Simon to "Sort the sound out!"

From tonight's performances alone, I'm going with Julian and Callum.

    George Sampson

WOW! It's great to see George perform again. How cool was that routine? As he stood behind each screen on stage the 'hidden' part of his body danced along with him on TV. It was perfectly staged.

I loved the run-over flip against the wall at the end (even if he did bonk his head a little). You can still see why he won - Go on George!

    THE RESULT:

The winner of the public vote is:
    Julian Smith!

He puts his head in his hands a wells up.
"For everybody who voted I'm so grateful".

Through to the Judges Choice are:
    Two Grand!
    ...and Callum Francis!

Only one of them can make it and this is going to be a tough choice. I feel a surprise result coming on...

Simon says he just knew this was going to happen...
"I loved you both, but based on the fact that one of you doesn't have a second shot at this, I'm going for Two Grand."

Amanda nods, "I've got to go with my heart. I'm going for Two Grand too."

Two Grand make the final and both Sallie and John are overwhelmed. Callum is visibly gutted and Simon repeats that it's such an open competition. He points to Julian, "It's like this guy, he's one to watch!" Ant ensures that Callum is going to carry on "as you're such a star" and the disappointed tot nods.

I can't say I'm surprised that Two Grand made it. Their story and sincere singing stole the show. Try saying that without your teeth in!

    Tomorrow's acts are:

    Aidan Davis - Dancer
    DCD Deniors - Dance Group
    Good Evans - Singers
    Greg Pritchard - Singer
    Hollie Steel - Singer/Ballerina
    Luke Clements - Performer
    Martin Matcham - Musician
    The Dreambears - Dance/Entertainment Act

So what do you think of tonight's semi-final?
Should Callum have been bumped for Two Grand?
...or should another act have pipped them all?

    Is Boyle at Breaking Point?

Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan is concerned for Susan Boyle as she's been in "floods of tears" this week and suffering from "almost crippling nerves".

It has also been reported that the finalist lost her temper in the lobby of the Wembley Plaza Hotel today after being "wound up" by two strangers.

    Is fame taking it's toll?
Is our singing star at breaking point? I'm not convinced.

A spokesman for Boyle said: "The police were escorting a journalist from the premises who had been winding Susan up. Susan and her sister were talking to the police telling them what had happened."

...It sounds like a storm in a teacup to me. I'm sure Susan can handle it anyway, she is a Scot you know. From my experience, full of courage - It takes a lot to break them.

Speaking to Nick Ferrari on LBC 97.3 radio, Piers said Susan was "an incredibly sweet, nice, gentle person who has been propelled through this show."

"Suddenly, a month later, she's the biggest star on the planet and I don't say that lightly...

Anybody who has gone through that incredible transformation is going to be feeling the most unbelievable pressure, not least of which because the final is on Saturday and she knows that everything may rest on that one performance and you could see the nerves almost crippling her on the semi-final show and I just think it's time that everyone backed off...

Knowing her as I do, she's been incredibly upset this week. She's been in floods of tears."

As I thought... Piers added that talk of Boyle's hotel outburst had been "massively exaggerated". Knew it!

Do you think that Susan will be able to take the pressure on Saturday? Click here to leave your comments...

    More soon...

Live Blog - Semi Final 3

Are you ready for a live one?

Tonight's tough to call as it's a strange group. I've no doubt that Shaheen will walk it with regard to the public vote, but it's wide open as to who lands second place.

I'm glad that we finally have a semi that's not an open and shut case. It all depends on how they perform on the night - I've got a soft spot for Stavros Flatly myself... Bless 'em.

Join me throughout the Live Blog and leave your views on each performance. Just be sure to click F5 every once in a while to refresh and keep up. If you need a reminder of who made the final 40, check out my photo album and you can relive Semi-Final 1 and 2 below...

There's no Britain's Got Talent tomorrow, but you're welcome to join me for The Apprentice Live Blog at 9pm if you reality taste buds need tickling...

I'll also have news of who's in Thursday's semi-final, so stick with me x

    SHOW STARTS:

    - I'm not as keen on Amanda's outfit tonight, bit too much.
    - LOL! Simon thinks tonight's final is going to be "a train wreck!" At least he agrees that it's not the best group.

Mmmm... Just had a thought. I wonder if young Natalie would have made the final if she'd been in this group instead? What do you think? Click here to leave your comments...

    Performing tonight are:

    Harmony - Singers
Floral highnotes - Singer and Floral Display (What?)
    Ben and Becky - Dancers
    MD Showgroup - Dance Group
The Barrow Boys - Wheelbarrow Dance Act
    Stavros Flatly - Dancers
    Shaheen Jafagholi - Singer
    Kayode Oresanya - Human Saxophone

I'll be posting my comments as each act performs...

    Harmony

    Okay, where is this going?
Can you say Paris Hilton Barbie Clone?

Harmony are listed on my release as 'singers', I had to check as I don't remember them and find myself wondering who put them through? They have the fun factor, no doubt but they can't sing to any sort of standard. None of the judges buzz and I'm in shock.

They perform Girl's Just Wanna Have Fun and I have to give them credit. As they burst out of a huge pink cake in coordinated leggings and tutus, they look so excited about this opportunity that the audience warms to them immediately. They appeal to the nation of Nicole and Paris wannabes and High School Musical teeny-boppers out there.

Amanda thought they were a lot of fun and loved the singing (clean your ears out missy), but Simon agreed with me. He liked their energy but wasn't sold on the singing. "I think we'd need years not months for rehearsals!"

    Kayode Oresanya

This could be a very short show, Simon buzzes. He starts his squeaking (supposedly to sound like a sax) and I can't believe the other judges haven't followed suit. They're making a mockery of the show here. This guy is being allowed to squeal to Heal The World on national TV, it shouldn't be allowed.

I can't believe the audience didn't shout him off!

Amanda didn't buzz, but she's honest - "I'm sorry. It's bloody awful, but I love you. It's the fact that you even thought this up that captures me". Simon has no interest in niceties. "I'm sorry too, sorry I had to listen to that again!" I think Piers has blown 'em tonight. He says that Kayode's a musical innovator and a genius. Me, I think I need a doctor as I'm bleeding profusely from the ears.

    Next!

    Ben and Becky

I have to ask, what ever happened to the public version of Strictly? These guys would be great. I'd also like to see a UK version of America's Best Dance Crew. Diversity and Flawless would be fantastic.

They perform well and dance together beautifully, but it just feels like this isn't the right show for them. It's like they're out of place and it's too regimented for BTG.

Simon hates it, "I don't think they're good enough to make the final. If felt cold." Becky bursts into tears and Piers tells her not to cry, "What Simon knows about ballroom dancing you could write on a postage stamp!" She smiles... and Piers continues, "I think he's just annoyed Ben because you're wearing his trousers!"

    LOL! You've gotta love Piers.

    Shaheen

WOW! WOW! WOW! (...and holy hell!)

Did you hear this boy? Did you hear him? Shaheen sang And I'm Telling You (You're Gonna Love Me) and to say he blew the roof off is an understatement! Such a hard song and I swear my chin hit the floor. If you missed it, you have to see it to believe it.

Piers can't believe he's only 12 years old. "I think that was by far the best singing performance of these semi-finals!" Amanda loved it, "I don't know what they put in the water up in wales but... I mean you're up there on the list aren't you? Above Tom Jones now I think. I mean, you've just given such a mature and professional performance, but you still look like a kid and have all of those childlike qualities."

Simon is in awe, "I don't think you could have chosen a more difficult song. that was an incredibly tough iconic song. I was genuinely nervous for you, but I take it back - It worked. .... I've no doubt you'll be there on Saturday and as I said to someone the other day, you're a real contender!"

I thought that was amazing and I'm typing like a raging banshee to catch up because I stopped dead when he started singing. (Then I remembered I was supposed to be ruddy working - Soz guys)

The point of my inane ramblings, Shaheen rocked the Kasbah! Goosebumps everywhere...

    The Barrow Boys

Bless 'em, they try their best and the audience cheer them on, but the early buzzes say it all. If it wasn't for Amanda holding out, they'd be back in the fields by now. They perform their acrobatics, but sadly they are out of time and finish before the music ends - Me thinks the guy on the left just wasn't concentrating. Simon's not impressed, "There was nothing new from the first audition."

"I think it was udderly brilliant!" - Duh! Amanda's been waiting to use that line hasn't she!

I have to agree with Simon I'm afraid. I really wanted to love it, but it left me flat.

    MD Showgroup

This rockin' dance group from 'the pool' are really going for it. Go on guys! They are literally shaking the stage with their energy and the audience are bouncing along with them...

They perform to Beat It and like their last audition they are painted with slogans (FIGHTER, INNOCENT) and surrounded by banners (WHY? FIGHT CRIME!)

As the spectacular comes to an end they dedicate their dance to Rhys Jones and anyone who has suffered. Simon thinks their efforts are admirable and asks one of the littluns 'upfront' how they felt it went... "Just Amazin'" You've got to love the tiny scousers - too cute (even if they are splattered in bloodlike face paint!)

Simon thought it was amazing and better than their first audition. Piers loves their message, "The youth of today get a really bad press and when I see you with your placards against crime, it's so great!" Amanda nods, "I can't say more than that. You always dance like it's a matter of life or death."

    Floral Highnotes

Has the world gone mad? Is this opera singing and flower arranging on the same stage - seriously?

Simon buzzes and shakes his head (and I don't blame him!) - Amanda says she enjoyed it and Piers points out that the Queen loves both gardening and classical music. He claims it's 'genius' to put them both together - "It's all a matter of breeding; Simon knows nothing of class or culture".

The duo tries to explain that this is not what they normally do. "Our show is normally an hour and a half and each floral demonstration takes fifteen minutes". Dec says, "So you've only seen a snapshot Simon..."

Cowell replies sarcastically... "Now I feel lucky!"

Sledgin says... NOOOOOO! It's just not right.
    (That's me by the way)
Far to much pomp and the arrangement was rubbish! Can you believe it was supposed to be a shield?

    Stavros Flatly

I love Stavros Flatly, they're such nice guys and hilarious to boot!

They explode onto the stage and in traditional Greek costume no less, pom poms and all. They shake what God gave them and good lord it tickles me silly. Fun and flubber everywhere! By the end Daddy Flatly is shattered and panting, "I'm knackered and I've been working out n'all!"

Simon giggles when the pair reveal their backing dancers are guys from their restaurant. "I wanted to keep it in the family, these guys are great friends of ours." Simon beams, "Someone told me that and I didn't quite believe it. As for your act, it's rubbish but brilliant at the same time. I think it won't be the same on Saturday without you!"

Piers smiles at the prospect, "Can you imagine the curtains going back at the Royal Variety Performance and the announcer says, 'You're Majesty... The winners of Britain's Got Talent are Stavros Flatly!" ...and this is what she sees!" Wouldn't that be brilliant!

Arrr.... Daddy Stavros just thanked his son for dancing with him and the crowd melt. "I've had the time of my life, honestly." - You can't help loving these guys - Good people having fun, who are we to judge!

    Who was your favourite tonight?

    THE RESULT:

Lines are now closed. Piers thinks this has been the best show yet, "For sheer hilarity and variety." Simon agrees, "Total madness, but that's why I love this show!"

The winner of Semi-Final 3 is:
    Stavros Flatly!
OH MY GOD, THEY BEAT SHAHEEN!

They can't believe it and there's tears all round.
    ...Happy tears of course.

Through to the Judges Choice are:
Shaheen (thank God) and MD Showgroup

This is so hard for the judges, either way they're going to make children cry.

Simon thinks they were both great tonight, but he's voting for the act he believes was best - He chooses MD Showgroup.

Amanda says if it's about who was best on the night, "then there's no question - I choose Shaheen."

Piers gives the contenders comfort by saying they both deserve to be in the final. He goes for Shaheen and the poor boy bursts into tears. "Me and MD have got on so well, I've made some great friends and it's so hard standing here with them, I'm so sorry."

Could this boy be any sweeter? No big celebration, just thinking of the other kids... I've gotta go before he makes me cry, seriously my lips going here. What a lovely boy, his parents should be very proud.

As always I hope you've enjoyed the blog tonight.
Was it the result you were hoping for?

Live Blog - Semi Final 2

Are you ready for a live one?
I know I am and I'm here early to make sure I get everything down, yesterday's show just flew by!

I've watched Diversity's performance so many times today and I'm still seeing something new every time. Everybody is talking about them and super-shocker, I think they could actually win it! Flawless will really have to pull something amazing out of the bag to beat down Ashley's choreography. It was superb.

Tonight's group is not the trickiest (that was yesterday) and not the easiest (that's tomorrow!),but the question still stands... Who will come out on top? If Flawless keep their cool, it could be a tough call... If not, I think it will be a night for the singers. My money's on Jamie Pugh and Shaun Smith.

Join me throughout the Live Blog and leave your views on each performance. Just be sure to click F5 every once in a while to refresh and keep up. If you need a reminder of who made the final 40, check out my photo album and you can relive yesterday's sensational semi below...

I'll also have news of who's in tomorrow's group later, so stick with me x

    SHOW STARTS:

As the judges take to the stage, Amanda Holden looks stunning! According to her tweets she's been drinking loads of Red Bull this evening to keep her going... She's going to need it if tonight's anything like yesterday's show. And what about those heels, can you say vertigo?

    Performing tonight are:

Mama Trish - Peter Coghlan / Belly Dancer
    Jamie Pugh - Singer
    Merlin - Diving helmet contortionist!
    Gareth Oliver - Ventrolquist
    Flawless - Dance group
    Shaun Smith - Singer
    DJ Talent - Rapper
    Hot Honeyz - Dance group

I'll be posting my comments as each act performs...

    DJ Talent

Bless him, he's fun but it's all very amateur isn't it? Dressed in more gold than his teeth, DJ Talent is obviously nervous and a little shaky. I just don't like the new verses (you say Simon... and I say Cowell) but the chorus is still catchy. I think he's loving those sexy dancing girls though and when the acts over he's so thankful for the experience.

Simon says it's a musical nightmare, but Piers jumps to DJ's defence. "Some people may think you're annoying but ignore them. Lots of people think I'm annoying too and we are both misunderstood. What I like about you is that you're getting the nation on their feet."

    Fun Factor - 10 out of 10
Chance of winning (draws number in the air like Cowell) - 2

    Merlin

Simon wanted more from this escapologist and I'm worried that his bloodlust could cause this guy some serious damage... He's going to try to escape from a straight jacket while upside down. Houdini broke two ribs attempting this and he didn't set the ruddy rope alight like Merlin!

Simon's heart is in his mouth, Merlin squirms and shakes and the flames get higher. Suddenly, he throws off the jacket and dangles from the rope victorious. He's obviously ecstatic - He waves in the air and the crowd goes wild!

Duh! Amanda makes a major faux pas as she says, "I don't know why I didn't buzz you. The flames looked like they were going the wrong way, away from you... So I'm not sure if there was even a chance of you burning to death." The crowd boo her and for once Simon jumps in, "No, the point is that the fire burns, it breaks the rope and he falls to his death Amanda. It wasn't that it would set him alight, did you want him to burn to death too?"

She smiles realising she's made a boo-boo. "Regardless you still bring something different to the show."

Simon brushes off Amanda's flick-flack critique, "If someone's willing to risk their life on this show, then they get ten out of ten from me!"

    Hot Honeyz

The girls are promising, something sassy, sexy and exciting. Let's see what they've got...

They're all in graduation garb, wiggling bums and waving scrolls and then it's off with the gowns and out with the big guns (if you catch my drift). They're great dancers but they remind me of Pan's People in their underwear? Ant and Dec love it, but Piers and Simon buzz during the performance - I'm shocked! I thought of all people they would have kept the girls jiggling about.

"It was all a bit clumsy and I've seen it all a million times!" "Where?" Amanda quips... We all know where don't we!?
Piers wasn't impressed either and tells the girls he'd rather they kept their clothes on!

Amanda can't believe the boys. "Dancing in stilletos is hard and I can't believe these comments. I thought you were great tonight girls and you really upped your game."

    Jamie Pugh

Oh no, Amanda buzzes half way through and Simon winces. Jamie sings The Impossible Dream, he looks nervous and his voice shakes until the final bars. Ant and Dec ask how he felt about his performance and he said he loved it, "it was a phenomenal experience".

The boys ask Amanda why she buzzed and she tells Jamie that it was "uncomfortable to watch" - She could sense his nerves and was hoping to be entertained. Simon's in a good mood tonight, he snips: "He was a lot more 'uncomfortable' after you buzzed him half way through!"

Oh no - I should have known the niceties wouldn't last. Simon adds, "You may have to come to terms with the fact that your nerves will always hold you back. For me, that wasn't good enough. If you can't do it now, you may never be able to."

Do you think Jamie has blown his chances?
Click here to leave your comments...

    Mama Trish (Peter Coghlan)

Peter's such a lovely guy and so honest - "I can't believe that I'm here, Me! Peter...Fat... Drag Queen!"

He performs a homage to Beyonce Knowles with Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) and he even has the backing dancers with the black leotards and 'thighs'. Simon and Amanda buzz...

Ant & Dec ask if he enjoyed it. "That was fabulous and I look stunning. Simon (he points to his goods) your new girlfriend baby!"

Amanda buzzed as Trish didn't do enough for her tonight. "You know I love you, but you didn't move around like last time and I wanted more. I was really disappointed." Simon was cutting, "The point of a drag act is that you're supposed to look like who you are impersonating. You just look like a fat bloke in a red wig!" Thank God for Piers... "I found you mesmerizing. I think you are going to inspire a lot of guys to do this."

Mmm... I agree about the outfit. If he'd have looked a little more like Beyonce it would have tied the performance to the dancers, Not for the final as far as I'm concerned, but I'm glad he had his moment. Lovely bloke who's lots of fun.

Fingers crossed he'll get a squillion 'As seen on BTG' bookings!

    Gareth Oliver

Mmm... It's not a good sign that I don't remember this guy. Simon buzzed him early on and I would have too. It wasn't really him as much as it was his choice of puppet and content. The comedy element was great but the singing left a lot to be desired (apart from the last note).

It didn't help that Gareth's VT promised something 'amazing' for the final. You might as well slit your own throat right there... I mean, you're asuming you're going to make the final and the public don't buy that. Obviously Simon said, "Why would you have something amazing for the final and not have something amazing now? I've seen this act thousands of times..."

(Personally, I would have like to see Gareth on his own. He has a great personality and presence without the puppets!)

Piers disagreed with Simon, "I enjoyed it. You've shown us two great tricks so far... I loved the first audition when you were throwing your voice and now you've shown us you can sing."

Amanda went so far as to say, "Fantastic, inventive and sensational!" I wouldn't go that far Holden, it's a guy with a Pavarotti puppet for crying out loud. Me, I didn't like it. This is one of those times when the second audition doesn't live up to the first. Lovely guy, puppet was kack!

    Shaun Smith

    Yummy yummy yummy... Those peepers...

Shaun quivered to begin with and like Piers I wasn't sure if it was the right song. Then he absolutely belted it out and the crowd erupted! The smile Amanda throws Simon says it all...

With or Without You was the perfect song. He's exhausted by the end but he says "I gave it everything I've got, I'm buzzing now!"

Amanda loved it. "That was amazing, Susan Boyle has got big competition."

Simon is gushing... "For the first time I feel like I'm judging a talent competition because that was far better than anything I've heard. You're 17 and you are the dark horse in this competition."

    Flawless

I promised myself that I'd be totally honest about Flawless as I'm such a huge Diversity fan...

What can I say, they were fantastic! Their moves are together, unique and slick, but it did remind me of their first audition - One guy stepping out and doing his bit, then the next... and the next. Nothing new that really 'popped' like Ashley's boys. Diversity take inspiration from movies and media, it's almost like moving art. I think Flawless have done enough to make it through but for me, there's no competition.

If I was being really critical, I'd say that they have tried to copycat Diversity in places. Watch their first audition... There was no comedic element, they were just a genuine (and fantastic) dance act. Could being 'another Diversity' lose them votes? Should they stick with what they know? Am I just far too obsessed with Diversity? Click here to leave your comments...

Amanda says, "You're a great, tidy, cool bunch of boys and you can see how much you want it. We saw Diversity go through yesterday and there's no reason you shouldn't either. I would love that, I couldn't choose between you." (I could)

Simon smiles, "Well we've seen some junk tonight but that was genius. You guys have worked hard for this, that must have took a long time to put together. One of my favourite acts of the two shows."

Piers is reeling, "I said previously that if Susan Boyle doesn't win this show I'm a doughnut. After that unbelievable performance, I may have to get used to the idea... that I'm a doughnut."

    Job done. Tick-tock get voting!
    Who floated your boat tonight?
    Click
    here to leave your comments...

    THE RESULT:

    Right... Phone lines are closed.
Who do you think will make it through?

I think Jamie's nerves took over, but I'm wondering if people will vote based on his first audition. If not I'm going for Shaun Smith and Flawless (Yes, I can't believe I'm saying it either!).

The winner of Semi-Final 2 is:
    Flawless!

As always two acts per semi-final will go through to Saturday's grand final. The first selected via public vote and the second chosen by the judges (from the 2nd and 3rd place acts).

    Through to Judges Choice are:
    Shaun Smith and Gareth Oliver

Simon goes for Shaun without even thinking. He could have at least faked contemplation.
Piers loves that this show is a variety show and opts for Oliver.
Amanda drags it out and milks the moment for all it's worth. She loves to promote variety in the show too, but finally goes for Shaun as he was the better performer.

Oliver thanks the public for putting him in the top three, "Until tonight not many people knew who I was. I haven't had much exposure so thank you."

Shaun Smith and Flawless are in the final!

Tomorrow previous finalist Faryl Smith will be joining Ant & Dec and the group is as follows:

    Harmony - singers
Floral highnotes - singer and floral display
    Ben and Becky - dancers
    MD Showgroup - Dance group
The Barrow Boys - wheelbarrow dance act
    Stavros Flatly - dancers
    Shaheen Jafagholi - singer
    Kayode Oresanya - Human saxophone

I have four words about tomorrow's show.
    Shaheen will walk it!

What do you think of tonight's result and who would you like to see make it through tomorrow? Where did it all go wrong for Jamie Pugh? He didn't even make the top 3!

I hope you have enjoyed the blog tonight.
    See you tomorrow...

    Susan Snogs Piers!

    Well she's finally done it!
Susan Boyle is not longer the girl who's never been kissed.

In a shock revelation, Piers Morgan revealed on his blog that the pair shared a kiss last night and it wasn't just a split-second peck. The funny thing is that it wasn't down to Piers either - It was all down to Susan, the little minx!

He said, "One thing's for sure, I'm never going to forget what happened to me at 10.32pm last night. That was the moment when Susan Boyle ran down a flight of stairs at the Fountain Studios in Wembley, flung herself into my arms, and planted a five-second 'smacker' right bang on my lips!

    It wasn't entirely unexpected.

A few minutes earlier, Susan had declared her feelings towards me in a rather more public way by dancing a little jig of joy on stage after winning last night's first Britain's Got Talent semi-final, and shouting: 'THIS IS FOR YOU, PIERSY BABY!'"

    Hot stuff eh?
How did you like Susan's rather strange and saucy celebrations?

Do you think that the public will vote for her in the final?
Or has she experienced a winners life already and another act deserves a chance?

Are you ready for a live one?
I tell you what, after weeks of recorded auditions I am!

    SHOW STARTS:

    Performing tonight are:

    Susan Boyle - singer
    Sue Son - violinist
Nick Hell - extreme street performer
    Darth Jackson - impersonator
    Julia Naidenko - belly dancer
    Diversity - dance group
Faces of Disco - Comedy impersonators
    Natalie Okri - singer

I'll be posting my comments as each act performs...

    Diversity

Wow! What a great start to the show. These guys just rock my world - I love them! Even though they're first tonight and the routine was a little messy in comparison to their first audition, I thought it was pure genius. At one point they flung young Perri across the stage! My favourite moments include the surfing, the MJ Smooth Criminal lean and the 'voted for Diversity' call. They created a phone booth with their bodies and placed a vote for their act. The voting confirmation was sampled and mixed into their track - Classic.

The judges loved it too, they're virtually drooling. Amanda goes on so much that Simon compares her to Paula Abdul in American Idol.

Simon was full of compliments: "I genuinely didn't think you would improve on last time, but you did. It was utterly fantastic. I really hope people vote for you. What you have done to prepare for this semi-final is amazing". Lead choreographer Ashley is over the moon, they deserve everything they get - Get voting peeps, I want these guys to make the final!

    Sue Son

Sue Son seperated from her bandmate and best friend to make it to tonight's semi-final, so I'm so pleased she played well. It was a dramatic performance with flames erupting from the stage with every beat and her movement, talent and expression remind me so much of Vanessa Mae.

Piers tells her she was right to give up her friend as she is "pure class and talent". Amanda points out that her best friend can't be much of a friend to not embrace her and support her. Simon (as always) has no sympathy for Sue's pal. "I would always sacrifice friendship for success, I would. She was terrible. You are really, really good, but your personality didn't come across in that performance. You're talented but you're not particularly likeable. I mean that in a good way, I want people at home to understand you may be quiet, but you've got talent".

Is this a great show or what?
Can't wait to see who's next...

    Oh no...

    Darth Jackson

Tonight he promises something amazing, but I'm not convinced. All I've had on this blog are complaints that this guy got through, especially when drummer Kieron Gaffney didn't make it.

He takes to the stage as Thriller blares out and is surrounded by a shoal of sauntering stormtroopers. Simon buzzes immediately and I'm shocked that the remaining judges haven't joined himt. As his moment comes to an end, Dec says it was a great performance - He lied. I can honestly say I have no clue how this guy made it through the first audition - He's out of time and obviously unrehearsed.

Simon has promised to resign if this guy wins. Piers tells Darth that there's no better incentive to win than to make Simon leave. Amanda is disappointed. "It was like you marked that routine. You didn't know where you were".

Ant asks why Simon buzzed, "because he's insane. Let's come back to planet earth for a minute, there is no way I'll be resigning at the end of this show". It's a public vote Simon, you never know.

Three words from me, shouldn't be here.

    Natalie Okri

Bless Natalie, she's the cutest. She says that being on Britain's Got Talent is better than getting a Nintendo DS and Playstation 3, so that's pretty cool eh?

She performs Superstar by Jamelia and I can't help saying "Arrr..." as she's obviously a little nervous. She holds it together like a trooper and she's a complete pro.

Piers is overjoyed, "That was fantastic. I couldn't get up on that stage and perform, so for you to get up there and perform to millions of people at home, at ten years old... It's amazing!"

Simon says she's one of the cutest kids he's ever seen, but he's disappointed with the choice of song. "We know you can perform those big songs really wel and that didn't show that off - But just smile and you'll get a load of votes!"

I have to agree with Simon, I was looking forward to hearing our mini-Beyonce once more. Bad song, great voice. There was too much choreography too, it seemed to put her off and she missed a couple of gesture cues. Choreographer must try harder (C-)

    Julia Naidenko

Julia is originally from Latvia and the judges believe she's the best belly dancer they've seen. Sure she can belly dance and she shakes in such a way that it'd make Shakira blush, but there's little content other than that.

I like the way they transformed her routine into a performance (as she was lowered on stage via a swing), but I'm just not sold.

    Amanda buzzes...

I have to say I agree with Amanda, there's only one thing Piers and Simon look like they're watching! Simon said it himself earlier, "When you look like that will people vote for you?"

Bless, Julia she admits that she's afraid of heights and didn't know what she was letting herself in for when she hopped on the swing. Piers apologises to Julia for Amanda's buzz. "Jealousy is a horrible thing!"

Amanda comes back with the line of the night. "Can I just interject Piers. I don't know what you were thinking when you were watching it, or should I say what you were thinking with!" Go on girl! Amanda adds that she buzzed as she doesn't think the queen would want the princes distracted.

    Just thought...
How much d'ya wana bet that Susan Boyle closes the show? That's one sure fire way to get everyone to watch the whole thing eh?

    Nick Hell

Nick's act is even more dangerous and vile than last time, but it is an act and it deserves as much of a chance as any. She swings a half barrel from her ears, he sticks a drill up his nose... Simon buzzes. She throws bowling balls at him, he hangs an enormous pick axe from his ears and smashes a plate (you can see he's in pain). Before he gets chance to slice an apple in half with a chainsaw (while it's in his mouth!) the other judges buzz and it's game over.

I'm shocked at Piers, he's so harsh in his critique. "You're disgusting, your ears are repulsive and I think we speak for all of us when I say if we don't see you again it will be too soon". Ouch!

Nick is a nice guy and looks hurt by that. Amanda shakes her head, "I don't think that Piers should get personal. It's a horrible act, but it is an act... Just to much for me".

Simon had had enough before the pick axe. "We couldn't put you in front of the Queen, not while she's messing with a cucumber and you've got a chainsaw!" LOL! Simon cracks me up, can you imaging her madgie's face?

    Faces
    of Disco

I didn't really like Faces Of Disco first time around, but I really enjoyed that - So funny.

When they slapped on the faces of Ant & Dec I giggled, then it was Katie and Peter and I gasped (touchy subject) and I absolutely cracked up when they ripped off their shirts and whacked the Simon Cowell masks on. It had to be Simon's dream come true when the other dancers joined in too and you had a stage full of Simon's. A nightmare for most, but pure delight for Mr C.

All the judges wondered if this act had legs and they were pleasantly surprised. Piers buzzed because of the Simon moment, Amanda wondered why they bothered with the masks (I think she's took a shine to them) and Simon... Well Simon said there was no point in wearing the other masks. "I buzzed too early, the end was sensational!"

    Susan Boyle

There's a lot of pressure on this lady tonight.
    The world is watching...

She holds it together as she steps through the mist... but her voice quivers with nerves and I'm holding my breath. She rests her hand on her stomach and breathes between lines... Now she's starting to sound more like herself.

She performs Memory from Cats and the crowd go wild as she belts out the final bars, she was good but I have to be honest and say she was pitchy..

Piers is pleased that she pulled it off for Britain while the world was watching. Amanda is chuffed to bits, "I'm so glad that it went well. I was so nervous for you, I've bitten all my acrylic nails off!"

Simon shocks Susan by apologising. "I'm so sorry for how we all treated you in your first audition. You have made us all look like fools now - That was brilliant!"

...and that's it. The lines are now open.

I would like to see Diversity and Susan Boyle go through tonight. They both pulled it out of the bag, held it together and made their moment count. How about you?

Click here to leave your comments...

I just hope that Diversity don't miss out on votes because they were first. I'd imagine that the voting lines are jammed for Susan Boyle, there's probably more ruddy callers than sense!

    THE RESULT:

As always two acts per semi-final will go through to Saturday's grand final. The first selected via public vote and the second chosen by the judges (from the 2nd and 3rd place acts).

The winner of the public vote is:
    Susan Boyle!

Mmmm... Not really a surprise that.
What is a shock is how she reacts! She shakes her hips and wiggles her bum at Piers, "This is for you Piersy baby!" LOL!

The two acts through to the judges selection are...

    Natalie Okri and Diversity (YES!)

"I'm voting for the act that I think can win this whole thing!"
Piers votes for Diversity - Get in!

Amanda votes for Natalie... It's all down to Simon.

"What a great position to put me in. Natalie I thought you were brilliant and Diversity, I think you are one of the best dance groups we've ever had. I'm going to agree with... Piers!"
Woohoo! Simon votes for Diversity and I'm tickled pink! What a show!

Natalie looks shocked. Ant & Dec give her their commiserations, but her lip is going and I just know she's... Arrr... She's crying. Some members of Diversity are crying too. They're so nice, I'm not sure if it's with joy or because they've knocked Natalie out of the competition.

You were great Natalie, but you should come back when you're a little older and win X Factor hands down. Well done my Diversity boys - I knew you could do it!

As promised, here's who we have tomorrow:

Mama Trish - aka Peter Coghlan
    Jamie Pugh - singer
    Merlin - Diving helmet contortionist!
    Gareth Oliver - Ventrolquist
    Flawless - Dance group
    Shaun Smith - singer
    DJ Talent - rapper
    Hot Honeyz - dance group

Who do you think will make it through to the final?
...and what do you think of tonight's result?

Live Blog - Final Auditions and Final 40 Revealed!

The Live Blog is running now...
Who do you think should make the final 40?

Can't wait for tonight, I've got news on the final auditions, a list of the final 40 AND if you're very good, I'll even tell you who's been selected for tomorow's Semi-Final.

Will Susan Boyle be in a sing-off with Jamie Pugh?
...Or maybe Flawless and Diversity have to battle it out?

    Wanna know?
You'll have to stay with me during tonight's Live Blog.

    SHOW STARTS:

Ouch! David Watson was, in Amanda's own words - "Awful!"
He wailed his way through The Lion Sleeps Tonight whilst top to toe in camo and the judges were literally cringing -and buzzing obviously! Piers went so far as to say, "You could be the worst singer in Britain!"

On the flipside we have Sam, Bobby and Lyle - The Barrow Boys. They mananged to get the judges to 'take back' their buzzes - Go figure! Simon and Piers both buzzed far too soon (thinking the boys would be rubbish), but they were fabulous acrobats, with wheelbarrows. Unique, unusual and different - A breath of fresh air and they made me smile bless 'em. Simon admitted that he buzzed, "before the best bit" and Piers added, "I've never seen anything like this in my life!"

    The boys are drooling!
Latvian Julia Naidenko, now lives in London. Ant and Dec are delighted when Julia tells them she's going to be Belly Dancing. She wiggles and jiggles and every man in the theatre is on their feet with a look of pur delight. Simon says, “that was Olympic Gold medal standard seriously good" and Piers wants to see “much more” of her! DO I really have to say she made it through...

Brother and sister act Ben and Becky Milan-Vega are out to impress with their energetic ballroom routine. The judges are impressed and so am I! Simon says “that was really really really good, you’ve got a great connection, brilliant” and Amanda adds “technically it was perfection really fun to watch”. Is this BTG or Come Dancing? Why don't we have a dance version of this? I know they have two top reality dance shows in the U.S. come on Simon, get one up and running!

How weird is Nick Hell's act? It's not enough that he has enormous holes in his ears, he's going to use them! Look away now... Ouch! He clips a dustbin to his ears and starts swinging it around, while his girlfriend throws bowling balls at his stomach - Who thinks this stuff up? If you woke up in the morning and thought today I'm going to do this... You'd go back to bed wouldn't you?

    The nerve of some people!

On one hand we've got Margaret, who thinks she's channeling Maria Calas - She's not! ...In fact, I think my ears are bleeding.

...and on the other hand we've got Ajay, a chronic street dancer who's staging a sit-down protest because the judges buzzed three times. Did you see him? He was like your uncle at a wedding!

    I LOVE KIERON GAFFNEY!
He's such a sweety and you can tell his mum is so proud of him. He takes to the stage and tells the judges he's going to play Wipeout on the drums - Piers looks at the other judges nervously and Simon rolls his eyes... What a shocker, he's fantastic!

The crowd give him a standing ovation and his mum is in tears at the spectacle. Simon says, "To me, the prospect of a boy of your age playing the drums is horrific, but that was brilliant!" Piers tells him he's destined to be a superstar drummer. I can't believe he's only been playing for a year, can you?

    Ready everybody... 1,2,3... Arrrrr!
Fred Bowers is 73 and you can't help but say 'Arrr' as he's a real golden oldie - or he would be if he wasn't a nightclubbing, breakdancing legend! He's been breaking, popping and locking seven nights a week for five years now (no, I'm not kidding) and there's just no stopping him. He receives a standing ovation and the judges are literally in awe. "This is why I love this show, it's because of people like you!" Amanda loved it. "This show is about spirit and variety and you've got plenty!"

LOL! You've got to love Simon haven't you? The Hot Honeyz perform a saucy dance routine where they strip down to their teeny leotards. Simon is impressed with the idea and puts them through, but adds "I have a problem with what you end up in. To move forward it's a matter of less is more!" Simon, are you channeling Sid James today? Easy Tiger!

Woo! Go on the Brit Chix, you rock minxes! They had real 'tude', a great sound and unique twang. I'm looking forward to seeing more of them in the semi-finals - This country needs a good female rock band doesn't it? This trio could be one to watch...

No,no,no. I'm not a fan of Martin Macham and his light up guitar. I loved how he played (don't get me wrong) and was swept away like everyone else. But I guess I'm just not one for gimmicks, especially when they involve a beautiful instument. I have to agree with Simon that his singing left a lot to be desired. "That was terrible. If we let you sing, you could single handedly close down the show."

After his performance Piers tells Martin “you just rocked the Hammersmith Apollo” and Amanda says “I think I buzzed too early as that was pure genius”.

Martin’s mother in law Pat is not impressed with Simon's critique. She shouts “you’re a nasty man” from side of stage and then storms up to the judges, “Simon I’m his mother in law. He’s got very little confidence anyway and you have probably just belittled his confidence even more, I think you were really really nasty”. With that she walks off stage apologising to Martin incase she’s “embarrassed him again”. LOL! Not the first time then eh? He's mortified!

    So that's it...
Now it's time to reveal our final 40.

Who will make it through to the final and who will be pipped at the post? Click here to leave your views.

    Stavros Flatley
    Sue Son
    Sugar Free
    Susan Boyle
    The Barrow Boys
    and 2 Grand.

    And as promised...
The group competing in tomorrow's Semi-Final are:

    Susan Boyle - singer
    Sue Son - violinist
Nick Hell - extreme street performer
    Darth Jackson - impersonator
    Julia Naidenko - belly dancer
    Diversity - dance group
Faces of Disco - Comedy impersonators
    Natalie Okri - singer

Ouch! Tough group for Diversity that. No one would want to be in Susan Boyle's group and with Natalie and Sue Son too, they're going to have to battle! Dance like you've never danced before boys!

I can't believe that young Kieron Gaffney didn't make it through - It's a travesty. A boy with real musical talent cast aside for novelty acts, strippers and bellydancers. What are the judges thinking?

As always two acts per semi-final will go through to Saturday's grand final. The first selected via public vote and the second chosen by the judges (from the 2nd and 3rd place acts).

Pier's Bombarded By Susan's American Fans

Piers Morgan was recently asked out for dinner by an attractive young lady as he was, "so kind and sensitive" to Susan Boyle. Happy days eh?

Unfortunately, it's not all moonlight and roses... Susan's massive American fanbase is beginning to make its mark on his daily life. He wrote on his blog:

"I don’t think any talent show in the history of television has had more global impact than this series of BGT and it’s all down to one middle-aged lady from Scotland.

I’ve been working in America the last three weeks, and everywhere I’ve gone, from Seattle to New York,  Houston to Los Angeles, I have had to run the Susan Boyle gauntlet when I walk the streets.

And I mean gauntlet. Literally one in five people have stopped me to ask about Susan. She has become one of the biggest celebrities in America, and when the live shows start next week, the world’s No1 superpower will just grind to a halt! Quite astonishing given then nobody had ever heard of her a month ago, and most of her fans have only seen her sing for 90 seconds."

Imagine how crazy it'll be if she wins Piers!

Do you think she can go all the way?

    Aiden's No George Sampson

Sorry guys, but talk about jumping the gun! The media have gone wild over young Aiden Davis (not that they shouldn't he's great), but saying he's better than George Sampson is a bit much.

Don't get me wrong, Aiden was fantastic on Saturday and his poppin', lockin' and rolling moves reminded me of both Justin and JayKay combined, but think about George's performance last year... Didn't it just take your breath away?

Aiden's performance made me smile and there's no doubt he's a phenomenal dancer, but he's 'sweet' rather than brimming with personality like George. I mean think back, the boy was a bubbling pot and you could feel how much he wanted it in every move. To pass your persona on via movement isn't an easy thing to do and he did more than wear his heart on his sleeve... He flung it our faces as every raindrop scattered from his sleeves.

I remember thinking 'He must be exhausted dancing through so much water' but he just kept smiling and dancing... By the end he had literally nothing left.

    Forgotten that momentous performance?
    Perhaps the country needs reminding.

I don't think anyone can say that Aiden is 'better' than George. Their dancing styles are poles apart (like their personalities). As far as talent goes, Aiden may be on par, but as they're so different you can't rate one over the other.

    Live Blog - Show 6

    By guest blogger Ms Bubbles

Hello all, Ms Bubbles here. I'm MSN's eye on the world of soaps so if you've read A Slice Of Soap, the soap blog, you'll know who I am. I'll be taking care of tonight's live blog for Britain's Got Talent while Selena reports on all the Eurovision happenings live in this blog. Anyway, let's talk Britain's Got Talent; click here to leave your views - don't be shy now!

Britain's Got Talent starts with Neil Horan

Neil Horan - 61-year-old Traditional Irish Dancer.

Oh man, this poor bloke looks pathetic. He reminds of that  skinny guy with the glasses in the Carry On movies. Simon said: "I thought it was a little bit limited...you only danced in a circle." Piers said: "This guy represents every folk dancer in the country." Amanda did her usual thing of being nice. I don't believe it - they've put him through!

    Harmony - Two girl dancers aged 14 & 16
They're school girls and they do look and sound like they're taking part in a school play. There's nothing special about them at all so I'm not surprised that Simon hated the song. He wasn't crazy about the outfits either but surprisingly, he went on to say: "I liked you." Coming from Simon, that's the equivalent of the rest of us saying: "Wow! You're really, really good! You're wicked!!" Piers said: "Yes."  So Harmony are through to the next round of the competition.

    Sugar Free

Next to take the stage and 'representing' London are Sugar Free. They're a six strong all-girl hip hop/street dance group from the mean streets of Dartford, although in my opinion they looked more like they'd just stepped off the set of Hollyoaks. Anyway, these girls are best mates whose ages range from 16 to 23. They've entered the competition not only to perform at the Royal Variety Show, but to prove that girls have just as much talent as male street dance groups.

So, do they live up to expectations? They're OK, but I think the fact that they're doing a hi-energy routine to Girls Alouds' Sexy No No No helps. Simon said: "This is the first time I've seen a bunch of girls who could give the male dance groups a run for their money". And Piers... well, he was more concerned that only two of the girls had their belly buttons on display (typical of Piers). Anyway, after being assured by Simon that more belly buttons would be on display if Piers gave them a yes, Sugar Free sailed through to the next round.

    Brenda Isaacs

So, next we're in Manchester where Piers, Simon, and Amanda are joined by Kelly Brook. Remember her? Guys, you've heard the saying: 'if at first you don't succeed, try and try again'. Well that's exactly what 75-year-old Brenda Isaacs attempts to do. If you recall, last year Brenda auditioned in Blackpool for the judges, but had a few problems with the backing track... thanks to her boyfriend Roy who'd put together a dodgy CD. Anyway, I'm relieved to hear that Brenda hasd sacked the DJ, but will that improve her chances of singing in front of the Queen?

She sang The Wedding by Julie Rogers. Brenda's distinctive high-pitched voice bellowed out the tune, fortunately this time without any hiccups. Piers, Amanda and Kelly buzzed their buzzers after having endured Brenda's singing for what seemed to be an eternity, but Simon said: "Brenda, I really like you as a person but no one would pay to hear you sing." That proved to be the final nail in Brenda's performing coffin. Let's just hope that's the last we'll see of Brenda, and pray that she doesn't become Britain's first 75-year-old pole dancing pensioner.

    Two Grand

Next up are Two Grand, made up of Grandfather and Granddaughter John (76) and Sally (12). The pair have been singing together for the last two years, although as Sally explains: "It can take him quite a while to learn the words to the songs!" A singer for over 50 years, John's biggest ambition has always been to perform at the Royal Variety and now he wants to do that with his granddaughter at his side.

Singing A Whole New World from Disney's Aladdin with their family waiting in the wings, the audience were obviously smitten with the two and when Simon buzzed, the audience aren't slow to show their displeasure. Amanda said that the pair surprised her..."I wasn’t expecting that to be that good." She's probably thinking of Katie and Peter's version, that's why...

Kelly called the performance "adorable" while Piers used that old chestnut: "This competition is all about people like you," he added: "You come out here and totally charmed this audience." Simon said: "I love the relationship between the two of you, but it's like putting 7 sugars in your coffee; it's a little bit too sweet."

Well you can't argue with People Power (as one or two greedy MPs will find out) - Two Grand got through to the next round. Let's just hope that the Grandfather's voice will hold up by the time we get to the finals, otherwise they'll have to rename the group One Grand (only joking!). I'm rooting for this act, they were sweet! They warmed the cockles of my heart.

    Faces of Disco.

Next up are two best mates: Liam and Richard. They hope to impress the judges with their unique comedy dance act. They're dressed like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever and as The Village People's YMCA kicks in, they start putting masks of famous people on and dancing.

It's when they don Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh masks that the dancing pair get big laughs from the judges and audience. Simon "loved the Louis". Piers asked them how they knew how Simon dances?! Ha, ha, ha! I think these two guys were entertaining. The Posh and Becks masks were quite fun too. They certainly impressed Simon and the judges; they got four yeses. Faces of Disco, through to the next round!

    What A Palaver

The name certainly described the act, which consisted of two naked men with handbags in front of their bits. Somehow I don't think the Queen will be very amused! However, incredibly, these guys went through to the next round.

More streetdancers. This time mostly females. This is definitely going to add to the competition with Flawless and Diversity.

They moved to Michael Jackson's hit They Don't Care About Us. They were good, but I still think that on a group streetdance level, it's between Flawless and Diversity and of those two, Diversity are ahead.

    Shailou -

Next up are young brother and sister circus-type trapeze act called Shailou. They were very good - the Olympics are in 2012 so if Team GB is short of gymnasts...? Anyway, they impressed the judges and the audience and they went through.

    Natalie Okri

Next up to impress the judges with her singing is 10-year-old Natalie Okri from South London. Walking out on stage to a lot of "ahhs" from the audience, the tiny little tot said: "I've been singing since I was four. I sing at school, I sing at home and I sometimes even sing when I am having my dinner! I want to be a singer and a Diva and I definitely want to be like Beyonce".

    Natalie Okri © ITV
Little Natalie Okri sang No One by Alicia Keys and within seconds of opening her mouth, the audience and judges all look amazed. At the end, the audience, Kelly and Amanda are on their feet. Piers said: "You are a very, very little girl with a very, very big voice, I loved it." Kelly said: "There's no need to be nervous, you need to know how good you are." Simon (with dollar signs flashing in his eyes) described her as "totally and utterly adorable."

All I can say is look out Beyonce, Leona, Mariah, Alexandra Burke and all the other divas cos Natalie Okri is coming to get ya. Yes folks it looks like this little girl's definitely one step closer to her diva dream. She's easily through to the next round.

    Floral Highnotes

Floral Highnotes are Ian Lloyd (43) and Helena Leonard (44) from Cheshire. They want to demonstrate the synergy between opera and flowers: she sang opera and he arranged flowers.

    Floral Highnotes © ITV

Despite the bizarre nature of the act, Piers and Amanda gave them 2 resounding yeses, meaning their unique act is one step closer to a place in the live shows. OK she can sing, but it's a bit of a pointless act really - and we'll have to endure it again!

    Aiden Davis

Last act - so this will either be really good or really bad. Aidan is an 11-year-old from Birmingham. He was so impressed watching George Sampson on the show last year that it’s inspired him to give the auditions a go himself. As he explains to Ant and Dec: "when I saw George Sampson, I thought he looked really good." Since then all Aidan has been doing is perfecting his moves in his bedroom. Dancing to T-Pain and Flo Rida Low, Aidan bust his home taught dance moves on the stage. The audience love him and his cheeky face. He's really, really good. Better than George Sampson! A shame that a dance act won last year now...

Piers said: "When George won last year, we all feared we'd get millions of little Georges trying their luck that wouldn't be anywhere near as good as him, but I think you are as good as George." No he's not. He's better. Simon said: "You are super super super talented" (yes, the dollar signs were flashing in his eyes again - kerching!). He added: "One million % yes!" Aiden is easily through and Simon's still gushing over him. Kerching! Kerching!

They tend to save the best 'till last on Britain's Got Talent and this boy didn't disappoint. Man, he was fantastic. In fact, I will say here and now he's far better than George Sampson. As Simon said: "The boy's got the whole package!" I reckon that Aiden Davis will definitely make the finals.

Another show ends: here's what I've learnt tonight:

    1. Piers Morgan likes belly buttons
    2. Ant and Dec are the Peter Pans of TV. They will never grow old and they will never grow up
    3. Brenda Isaacs has got more spirit than Asda, Tescos and Sainsbury's put together
    4. Natalie Okri will have to sing at every wedding her mum goes to from now on
    5. The dancers are giving the singers a real run for their money in this year's Britain's Got Talent

Who was your favourite tonight? My vote goes to Aiden Davis - awesome and absolutely brilliant. Agree with me? Disagree? Click here to leave your views - don't be shy now!

    Piers: Shaun Could Win!

It's not too often that I agree with Piers Morgan, but this week he's hit the nail on the head. I have high hopes for Shaun Smith after his audition on Saturday and so it appears does Piers...
So much so, he's even said he could win!

What? Over Susan? Who would dare say such a thing?

    Piers gushes...

"Right at at the end of the show came another young singer who I think has a genuinely good chance of winning this year.

Shaun, the ‘good-looking Mick Hucknall’ as Simon called him, performed a dazzlingly good rendition of Ain’t No Sunshine. But more than that, he’s got the looks, youth, and ‘cool’ factor that will get the ladies hitting their phones to vote.

And as we saw with George Sampson last year, that can be a very powerful weapon.

Susan Boyle is still the one to beat no question of that. But she’s had such astonishing attention all over the world that it could possibly play against her, with people thinking she’s got it in the bag so why bother spending the money to vote…. "

What have I been saying all long about Susan Boyle?
    Just that!

Piers is on my wavelength this week. Well, apart from the fact that he thought Methane Man was hilarious. Eugh! Did you know he stunk the theatre out all day and loads of the auditionees were complaining? I wouldn't want to be crammed in there after all that farting, would you?

So do you agree with Piers as I do?
    Or is he talking nonsense?

Would you vote for Shaun over Susan, maybe Flawless has your vote, or Shaheen or Diversity? Remember Elliot from Good Evans, what about him? There's so much talent this year, it's hard to hang your voting hat. I'm gonna need to think about this one!
